Bolgatanga, colloquially known as Bolga, is a town and also the capital of the Bolgatanga Municipal and the Upper East Region of Ghana. It share's a border to the north with Burkina Faso. Bolgatanga is 161 km (100 mi) to the north of Tamale. The town lies in the Red Volta Valley, with the White Volta and the cliffs of the Gambaga escarpment to the south of the town forming the southern boundary of the Upper East Region. As of 2021, the town has a population of about 142,509 people constituting females (74,659), representing 52.4 percent than males (67,850) constituting 47.6 percent. Some ethnic groups who lived in large qualities in Bolgatanga are Frafra, Daghati, Akan, Ewe, and Ga-Adangbe. The current mayor of the town is Rex Asanga. Bolgatanga Municipal's population in 2021 was with more females (74,659), repre- senting 52.4 percent than males (67,850) constituting 47.6 percent. The Municipal occupies a land size of 334 Km2 with a population density of 418.7 persons per square kilometre.
Elmina is a town and the capital of the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem District on the south coast of Ghana in the Central Region. It is situated on a bay on the Atlantic Ocean, 12.2 km (7.6 mi) west of Cape Coast. Elmina was the first European settlement in West Africa and it has a population of 33,576 people, as of 2013. The current Municipality chief of Elmina is Solomon Ebo Appiah.

However on 29 February 2008, it was split off into two new districts: Agona West District and Agona East District. The district assembly was located in the northeast part of Central Region and had Agona Swedru as its capital town.
Birim South District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger and first Birim South District in 1988, which was created from the former Birim District Council, until the western part of the district was split off to create a new Birim South District on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Birim Central Municipal District, with Akim Oda as its capital town. However, on 15 March 2018, the eastern part of the district was split off to become Achiase District; thus, the remaining part has been retained as Birim South District. The district assembly is located in the southwest part of Eastern Region and has Akim Swedru as its capital town.
East Mamprusi Municipal Assembly is one of the six districts in North East Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as East Mamprusi District, which was created from the former Mamprusi District Council, until the eastern part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 19 August 2004 to create Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District; thus the remaining part has been retained as East Mamprusi District. However on 15 March 2018, it was elevated to municipal district assembly status to become East Mamprusi Municipal District. The municipality is located in the eastern part of North East Region and has Gambaga as its capital town.
Asamankese is a town in south Ghana and is the capital of West Akim Municipal District, a district in the Eastern Region of south Ghana. Asamankese has a 2013 settlement population of approximately 39,435 people. Asamankese is on the main highway to Kumasi and Accra in the interior. The people of Asamankese celebrate the Obuodwan festival.

Nyakrom is a town in the Agona West Municipal District of the Central Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Nyakrom Day Secondary School. The school is a second cycle institution. Nyakrom is the sixty-second most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 22,911 people. Nyakrom has a Wesleyan Methodist Church. Odoben is a town located in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa district of the Central Region of Ghana. The town is known for its cocoa production. It is the second most prominent town after Breman Asikuma - the district capital. Odoben was famously visited by Ghana’s first president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah and during his era, the town received massive development. Telephone and telegraph lines were installed linking the town to Agona Swedru. Among the famous people hailing from Odoben are, the famous Ghanaian politician and statesman, P.C.
