Jordan Devey (born January 11, 1988) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Memphis Tigers and was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. Devey also played for the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oakland Raiders.
Devey did not play football in high school because he suffering from Osgood–Schlatter disease while playing football in junior high school. [1]
Devey was a member of the American Fork High School band, played the tuba, and turned down multiple music scholarships to serve a two-year mission in Costa Rica for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (after graduating from high school, but before attending college). Devey also played baseball for the Cavemen. [1]
Devey became a stellar offensive lineman at Snow College, because his knee condition subsided. [1]
Devey started in every game for two seasons at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah; as a freshman in 2009 at left guard and transitioned to left tackle as a sophomore in 2010. Devey was named the team's 2010 Offensive Player of the Year and earned all-region and all-conference honors in 2010. Devey had 37 pancake blocks and did not allow a quarterback sack in 2010. The Snow Badgers offense averaged more than 40 points per game in 2010. Devey graded above 85 percent both seasons and helped the running backs record 10 100-yard plus performances in 2010. Devey blocked for two quarterbacks that each passed for more than 1,200 yards. Snow Badgers had a record of 10-2; plus a victory in the 2010 Top of the Mountain Bowl. Snow College finished the 2010 season ranked 7th in the nation. [1]
Devey transferred to the University of Memphis and again started all contests, 12 this time, with the five coming at right tackle, one at right guard and six at left tackle. Devey even played every snap of the season (786 snaps); including eight games in which he worked 60 or more snaps. [1]
Devey was a member of head coach Justin Fuente's initial Leadership Council., culminating in receiving the DeAngelo Williams Most Valuable Player Award Devey was extremely versatile as he played as many as three different positions (left tackle, left guard and right guard) in various games. [1]

On April 27, 2013, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. [3]
On September 5, 2013, Devey was signed to New England's practice squad after an off-season stint. [4] He spent the 2014 preseason seeing action at center, guard and tackle. In the 2014 season, Devey was promoted to the active roster. In the regular season, Devey started six games at guard. The Patriots won Super Bowl XLIX after they defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 28-24.
On August 18, 2015, Devey was traded to the San Francisco 49ers for tight end Asante Cleveland. On March 8, 2016, 49ers decided to tender a one-year contract to Devey. [5] On May 6, 2016, the 49ers waived Devey.
On May 9, 2016, the Kansas City Chiefs claimed Devey off waivers from the 49ers. [6] On September 4, 2016, he was waived by the Chiefs and signed to the practice squad the next day. [7] [8] He was elevated to the active roster on September 17, 2016. He was released by the Chiefs on November 5, 2016 and was re-signed to the practice squad three days later. [9] [10] He signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs on January 19, 2017. [11] He was released on September 7. [12] He was re-signed on September 9, 2017. [13]
On March 16, 2018, Devey re-signed with the Chiefs. [14] He played in the first seven games, starting two at guard and center due to injuries, before being placed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral. [15]
On March 21, 2019, Devey signed with the Oakland Raiders on a one-year deal. [16] He was placed on injured reserve on October 5, 2019. [17]
On April 2, 2020, Devey was re-signed by the Las Vegas Raiders. [18] He was released on September 1, 2020. [19]
On September 9, 2020, Devey was signed to the Buffalo Bills practice squad. [20] He was elevated to the active roster on October 24 and January 8, 2021, for the team's week 7 and wild card playoff games against the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts, and reverted to the practice squad after each game. Devey signed a one-year contract extension with the team on February 1, 2021. [24] He was released on August 31, 2021. [25]
