Joshua Tibatemwa-Ekirikubinza (born 10 September 1996) [1] is a Ugandan Olympic swimmer. He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he ranked 64th with a time of 25.98 seconds. He did not advance to the semifinals. He was the flagbearer for Uganda during the opening ceremony. [2]

Sibusiso Bruno Matsenjwa is a sprinter from Eswatini. He competed in the 200 metres at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, but failed to reach the finals. He broke the national record on both occasions and served as the flag bearer for Eswatini during the opening ceremony in 2016. Matsenjwa holds national records over 100–400 m distances. He represented his country at three outdoor and three indoor world championships. Sibusiso also competed at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Mary Opeloge is a Samoan weightlifter. She competed in the women's 75 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a silver medal. She won Gold at the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championships.

During the Parade of Nations at the 2022 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, held on 28 July 2022, athletes bearing the flags of their respective nations lead their national delegations as they paraded into Alexander Stadium in the host city of Birmingham, England. A total of 72 Commonwealth Games Associations entered into the stadium.
