K.F.C. Verbroedering Geel was a Belgian association football club from the city of Geel in Antwerp (province).
The club was born in 1921 as a merger of Flandria and Geel Sport, becoming Flandria Geel Sport, and registered in 1924 to the Belgian Football Association receiving the matricule n° 395 after changing its name to FC Verbroedering Geel. It played for the first time in the second division in 1985–86. In 1999–2000 it appeared shortly in the first division as it won the second division final round. At this time the club merged with neighbours from K.F.C. Herentals leaving both name and matricule of the latter club.
On 30 November 2005 Verbroedering Geel is judged by the Control Commission of the FA for having falsified the 2004–05 second division final round and is subsequently downgraded to the third division. The judgement was confirmed on 1 March 2006 after which chairman Vic Keersmaekers resigned. Eventually on 13 April 2006 the Evocation Commission cancelled the decision of the Control Commission. Though on 3 May 2006 it was confirmed by the Appeal Commission of the FA that the club would be relegated. It thus seized the Evocation Commission. The executive committee of the FA decided on 8 May 2006 to let Geel play the 2005–06 second division final round although the rules of the competition state that a relegated club cannot take part in the final round. On 15 June 2006 the Evocation Commission rejected the plaint of Geel and the club was then officially relegated to the third division, permitting K.M. S.K. Deinze to avoid relegation.
The club was suffering serious financial trouble. Conversations were started with the Egyptian group Wadi Degla Investment to take over the club. Eventually they chose to take over Lierse and KFC Turnhout. On 30 June 2008, the club filed for bankruptcy and ultimately ceased to exist.
A different local team Verbroedering Meerhout, playing in Belgian Promotion, chose to move to the stadium of Verbroedering Geel due to better facilities. They changed their name to Verbroedering Geel-Meerhout, a symbolic merger.
R.A.A. Louviéroise, sometimes referred to as La Louvière or RAAL, was a Belgian football club located in the city of La Louvière, in the province of Hainaut. It had been playing its latest run in the Belgian First Division from 2000–01 to 2005–06 included. Two players have been called to the Belgium national football team while at La Louvière: Guy Dardenne and Silvio Proto. The matricule of the club was the number 93. In June 2009, it merged with R.A.C.S. Couillet to form Football Couillet La Louvière. This club has since 2017 been named RAAL La Louvière.
The Belgian Second Division play-offs were a series of playoff matches to decide promotion to the Belgian Pro League, organised between 1974 and 2015. Following a large reform of the Belgian football league system at the end of the 2015–16 season, the play-offs were no longer held. In the earlier years these play-offs were contested by teams of the Belgian Second Division but since 2009 also a team from the Belgian Pro League took part. Four teams normally played these play-offs, with the winner being promoted to the Belgian Pro League.
The Belgian Third Division was the third highest level in Belgian football. It had two leagues of 18 teams each at the same level. This competition, originally known as the Belgian Promotion was first played in the 1926-27 season with three leagues, then with four leagues between 1931 and 1952. From 1952 on, only two leagues remained and the competition was named the Third Division. Originally set to 16 clubs, the number of clubs in each division was increased in 2009 to 18 clubs. At the end of the regular season, both league winners promoted to the second division and a play-off was played to determine a possible third club to promote. The champion of the third division was determined after a two-legged match between the winners of the two leagues. If those matches ended in a draw, a third match was played on a neutral ground. However, in recent years this final game was not organised anymore due to lack of interest. In 2016, the Belgian Third Division was replaced by the Belgian Second Amateur Division.
Koninklijke Sport Vereniging Roeselare, abbreviated to KSV Roeselare ,, also known in French as KSV Roulers, was a Belgian football club from the city of Roeselare in West Flanders. Its matricule was 134. It last played at the highest level of Belgian football from 2005–06 until 2009–10, but finally folded in 2020 after having relegated to the third level and going bankrupt.

De Leunen is a football stadium in Geel, in the Belgian province of Antwerp. It has a capacity of 8,000 after the most recent renovation works. It used to be the home ground of K.F.C. Verbroedering Geel until the club went into liquidation in 2008. Subsequently, the neighbouring club of FC Verbroedering Meerhout left their Kattenstadion in Meerhout to play at De Leunen. The club then changed its name to Verbroedering Geel-Meerhout. In 2012 the club changed its same again to ASV Geel.
