KKRS (97.3 MHz) is a non-commercial FM radio station broadcasting a Christian talk and teaching radio format. Licensed to Davenport, Washington, the station serves the Spokane metropolitan area. It is owned by Penfold Communications. [2] Most programming is simulcast with sister station KRTM in Banning, California.

KKRS has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 5,100 watts as a Class C3 station. The transmitter is off Washington State Route 231 near Fry Road in Edwall. [3] Programming is also heard on 99-watt FM translator K227CD at 93.3 MHz in Spokane. [4]

Programming

KKRS and KRTM air half-hour Christian talk and teaching shows most hours, with some Christian music also scheduled. National religious leaders heard on KKRS and KRTM include David Jeremiah, Alistair Begg, Rick Warren, James Dobson and Greg Laurie. KKRS and KRTM are listener-supported stations with no commercials. They ask for donations on the air and on their websites.

The station signed on the air on October 16, 1998;25 years ago. [5] KKRS has always been a Christian station. It was originally owned by CSN International. Its studios were on Sunset Road in Airway Heights.
