Early life

Kaleemullah was born on 24 December 1990 in Gujranwala, Pakistan. [2]

Career

Kaleemullah made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Oman in the 2017 Desert T20 Challenge against the Netherlands on 15 January 2017. [3] He was part of Oman's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. [4] He made his List A debut for Oman on 8 February 2018. [5]

In August 2018, he was named in Oman's squad for the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier tournament. [6] In October 2018, he was named in Oman's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament. [7] In December 2018, he was named in Oman's team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. [8]

In March 2019, he was named in Oman's team for the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament in Namibia. [9] Oman finished in the top four places in the tournament, therefore gaining One Day International (ODI) status. [10] Kaleemullah made his ODI debut for Oman on 27 April 2019, against Namibia, in the tournament's final. [11]

In September 2019, he was named in Oman's squad for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. [12] In November 2019, he was named in Oman's squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. [13] In September 2021, he was named in Oman's squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It was contested by six teams; Canada, Hong Kong, Oman, Papua New Guinea, the United States and tournament hosts Namibia. It formed part of the 2017–19 cycle of the World Cricket League (WCL) which determined the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The final and third-place playoff match were granted One Day International (ODI) status by the International Cricket Council. Namibia won the tournament, after they beat Oman by 145 runs in the final. It was Namibia's first win in an ODI match, and it was the first ever ODI match played by Oman.
