Khvortab-e Rudbar (Persian : خورتاب رودبار‎, also Romanized as Khvortāb-e Rūdbār and Khowrtāb-e Rūdbār; also known as Khortāb Rūd and Khvortāb Rūd)^[1] is a village in Lavij Rural District, Chamestan District, Nur County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 93, in 26 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Lavij Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Chamestan District, Nur County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,229, in 741 families. The rural district has 11 villages.

Chamestan District is a district (bakhsh) in Nur County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 40,683, in 10,217 families. The District has one city: Chamestan.
