Stephen Phillip Bracks is a former Australian politician and was the 44th Premier of Victoria. He first won the electoral district of Williamstown in 1994 for the Labor Party and was party leader and premier from 1999 to 2007.

Brumby resigned as Labor leader after the election,on 30 November,to be replaced by Daniel Andrews. Within weeks of this leadership change,Brumby left parliament,with a Broadmeadows by-election taking place on 19 February 2011.

The Greens won two lower house seats,their first Legislative Assembly seats in a Victorian state election,whilst increasing their share of upper house seats. The new Andrews Ministry was sworn in on 4 December 2014.
