Kintampo North Municipal District is one of the eleven districts in Bono East Region, Ghana. [3] [4] [5] [6] Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Kintampo District on 10 March 1989, until the southern part of the district was split off to create Kintampo South District on 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004); thus the remaining part has been renamed as Kintampo North District , which it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2007 (effecitvely 29 February 2008) to become Kintampo North Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northern part of Bono East Region and has Kintampo as its capital town.

Tuobodom is a town in the Bono East region of Ghana. Tuobodom is the capital for the Techiman North District created by the then President of Ghana Professor John Evans Atta Mills. The inhabitants of the town are mainly farmers with some percentage being traders and other government workers. Tuobodom is the capital of Techiman North District of the Bono East region with some adjoining towns like Aworowa, Buoyem, Offuman, Tano Boase and their environs. The main crop that the farmers grow are Tomato and green pepper. Tomato and green pepper are grown on a large scale in the town which helps support the livelihood of the residents.

West Mamprusi Municipal Assembly is one of the six districts in North East Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as West Mamprusi District, which was created from the former Mamprusi District Council, until the western part of the district was split off on 28 June 2012 to create Mamprugu-Moagduri District; thus the remaining part has been retained as West Mamprusi District. However, on 15 March 2018, it was elevated to municipal district assembly status to become West Mamprusi Municipal District. Pru District is a former district that was located in Brong-Ahafo Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Atebubu District on 10 March 1989, until the northern part was split off to create Pru District; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Atebubu-Amantin District, which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018 to become Atebubu-Amantin Municipal District. However on 15 March 2018, it was split off into two new districts: Pru East District and Pru West District. The district assembly was located in the east central part of Brong-Ahafo Region and had Yeji as its capital town.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kintampo, Ghana</span> Town and District Capital in Bono East Region, Ghana

Kintampo is a town and tourist destination in the Bono East Region of Ghana. It became the capital of Kintampo North Municipal in 2004. Kintampo has a population of 111 000. It also served as the capital of the former Kintampo District. Kintampo also has a Senior High School which is located at Kyeremankoma. There is a college of health called Kintampo College of Health and Well-being (CoHK) in the town. Most of the population in Kintampo are farmers, with production focused on yams, maize, legumes, tubers and other vegetables. Both the Bono and the Mo tribe are indigenous to the region. Kintampo is a cosmopolitan town, apart from the indigenous tribe, other tribes like the Wangaras, Gonjas, Konkombas and others are also inhabitants of the town. The annual Benkadi Kurubi festival of the Wangara community in Ghana always takes place at Kintampo.
