Curtin continually rejects calls from the Cork senior football and hurling panel due to his ongoing commitment to females in the Black Rabbit. The Rockchapel forward was placed under a large amount of scrutiny at the end of the 2023 season for both his lack of commitment to the Meelin junior B hurlers and to his partner at the time.
