Urhan GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the townland of Urhan in County Cork, Ireland. The club, situated in the Beara Peninsula, is exclusively concerned with the game of Gaelic football.

History

Located in the townland of Urhan in the Beara Peninsula, Urhan GAA Club was founded in 1927 following the establishment of the Beara Board. [1] The club has spent most of its existence operating in the Beara JAFC, winning 28 titles from 44 final appearances and leading the division's all-time roll of honour. Four of these divisional titles were subsequently converted into Cork JAFC titles. The club achieved senior status for the first time after their 2-15 to 2-06 defeat of Millstreet in the 1967 Cork IFC final. [2] [3]

Beara GAA is a division of Cork GAA, and is responsible for organizing Gaelic Athletic Association games in the Beara Peninsula in County Cork, Ireland. It is one of eight divisions of Cork County Board. It organizes competitions for the clubs within the division, from Under 12 up to the adult level. The winners of these competitions compete against other divisional champions to determine which club is the county champion. Currently, the following clubs are part of the Beara division - Castletownbere, Adrigole, Urhan, Garnish, Bere Island and Glengarriff. It has no senior football team so the only representative in the Cork Senior Football Championship is the divisional team. The division also competes in the Cork Minor Football Championship and the Cork Under-21 Football Championship. Beara is a Gaelic football stronghold, with very little hurling played, and no competitions organized.

Dromtarriffe GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the north-west of County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the Duhallow division of Cork GAA. Their hurling team currently competes in the Duhallow Junior A Hurling Championship and their football team currently competes in the Cork Intermediate A Football Championship.

Robert O'Dwyer is an Irish Gaelic football selector, manager and former player. At club level he played with Urhan and Parnells and was a member of the London senior football team. O'Dwyer usually lined out as a forward.

Ollie Rue O'Sullivan is an Irish Gaelic football selector and former player. At club level he played with Garnish and Beara and was also a member of the Cork senior football team. O'Sullivan lined out as both a defender and a forward.

The Clare Junior A Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football club competition organised by the Clare County Board of the GAA for clubs below the Intermediate and Senior grades. It is contested by the top-ranking Junior clubs in County Clare, Ireland. It is the third-tier adult competition of the Clare football pyramid.

John O'Flynn is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. He played with club side Kilshannig, divisional side Avondhu and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team.

In a lengthy coaching career, Honohan has had All-Ireland successes at different inter-county levels.
