Krish J. Sathaar (born Unnikrishnan Sathaar; 1 January 1984) is a former Indian actor and entrepreneur who primarily works in Malayalam films including Tamil film.

Early life and Education

Krish was born to actors Sathaar and Jayabharathi on 14 September 1984. He has studied engineering and pursued a master's degree in business management as well. Krish was working in America after he completed his studies.

Career

Being born into a film family, he received several acting offers. He chose the Mohanlal starrer Ladies and Gentleman directed by the very successful film maker Siddique as his launchpad. [1] He was pursuing a course at the New York Film Academy before entering the film industry. In 2014, he made his Tamil film debut in Malini 22 Palayamkottai directed by Sripriya, the Tamil remake of Aashiq Abu's, 22 Female Kottayam . His next film was To Noora with Love in which he portrays the lead character Shahjahan, a happy-go-lucky guy and sufi singer . [2] He had agreed to be part of the film Thakkali but later opted out due to date issues. [3]

Entrepreneurial Ventures

Krish owns and operates concept cocktail bars in London. Being an avid cocktail enthusiast he took it up as a hobby and later trained and honed his skills in cocktails during his time in New York.

He developed the concept and brand and opened his first location in London and New York. The first location was voted in the top ten best cocktail bars in the United Kingdom. Recently he opened his second bar concept, in London.

Krrish is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. He made his debut in the commercially successful Yennai Arindhaal directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon starring Ajith Kumar in 2015. Then went on to play one of the antagonists in the Tamil hit Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada also directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in 2016. He made his Malayalam debut with Kinavalli directed by Sugeeth in 2018 for which he won the Asiavision Awards for most promising actor. Kinavalli garnered positive reviews from critics and the audiences alike. His latest release is the comic caper web series "What's up Velakkari" which has released in Zee 5 in December 2018. SIIMA Award for Best Director – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for best film direction done by a director in Telugu films. The award was first given in 2012 for films released in 2011. Trivikram Srinivas is the most nominated with 5 nominations while S. S. Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, Sukumar and Vamshi Paidipally are the most awarded directors with two wins each.
