Kuala Stabas is a premium economy class train that serves the Tanjungkarang-Baturaja and is under the auspices of KAI Regional Division IV Tanjungkarang.

Operating

At the beginning of its inauguration, this train was present to support the 2018 Eid transportation with a travel duration of once a day and stopping at certain stations.^[2]

However, since December 2019 this train has been running twice a day along with the removal of the Seminung and Way Umpu trains that usually crossed the Tanjungkarang-Kotabumi route.^[3]

The train itself consists of five premium economy class carriages, one dining carriage, and a generator.^[4]

Although this train uses a premium economy class, this train receives a subsidy from the national government since 1 January 2020 thanks to a submission from the local government.^[5]

Incident

On 18 July 2023, Kuala Stabas train crashed into a truck loaded with sugar cane at a level crossing without a gate in Blambangan Pagar, North Lampung. Although there were no fatalities, the locomotive of the train was damaged and its journey was disrupted.^[6]

The train covers 166 kilometres (103 mi) in 2 hours 50 minutes. From Jakarta to Bandung the train stops at Bekasi and Cimahi where as from Bandung to Jakarta it stops only at Jatinegara. Prambanan Express Commuter Line or simply Prambanan Express, commonly abbreviated as Pramex and Prameks, is a commuter rail service that operates between Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo, Purworejo Regency, Central Java in Indonesia. The service, which first operated in 1994, covers a distance of about 64 kilometers (40 mi) and operates using diesel multiple unit trains. It was previously serving Yogyakarta–Solo for 26 years before it was electrified in 2021.

Argo Wilis is an executive and panoramic class train operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia between Surabaya and Bandung in Java, Indonesia. The train covers 696 kilometres (432 mi) in 9 hours and 53 minutes with stoppage at Cipeundeuy, Tasikmalaya, Ciamis [id], Banjar, Kroya, Kutoarjo, Yogyakarta, Solo Balapan, Madiun, Kertosono, Jombang, and Mojokerto. This train runs in the morning from Bandung to Surabaya Gubeng or vice versa, and arrives at the destination at evening/night. In the journey Bandung to Surabaya, passengers can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the eastern part of Parahyangan mountainous region.

Jombang Station (JG) is a large class type C railway station located in Jombatan, Jombang, Jombang Regency, the station is included in the Operation Area VII Madiun at an altitude of +43 m. The location of this station is right across the Alun-alun Jombang. All trains passing the Kertosono-Surabaya Gubeng must stop at this station.

Sri Lelawangsa is a commuter rail service in Indonesia operated by KAI Bandara, serving Medan Station to Kuala Bingai Station route and vice versa. The service began operation on 6 March 2010 using Kereta Rel Diesel Indonesia (KRDI) DMU by INKA. But now the Sri Lelawangsa train series has changed to a Local Economy Class train pulled by locomotive BB302, BB303 or BB203.

Purwakarta Station (PWK) is a class I railway station located in Nagritengah, Purwakarta, Purwakarta Regency. The station, which is located at an altitude of +84 meters, is included in the Operational Area II Bandung. This station is located very close to the Purwakarta regent's office which can be reached on foot.

Tanjung Karang Station (TNK) (alternatively Tanjungkarang Station) is a large type A railway station located in Enggal District, Bandar Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia. The station is located at an altitude of +96 meters and is operated by the Regional Division IV Tanjungkarang of Kereta Api Indonesia. The station served as starting point for passenger trains heading for Kertapati Station in Palembang.

Kotabumi Station(KB) is a class I railway station located in South Kotabumi District, North Lampung Regency, Lampung, Indonesia. The station is located at an altitude of +28 meters and is operated by the Regional Division IV Tanjungkarang of Kereta Api Indonesia.

The E10 class are a class of 0-10-0RT steam locomotives built by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen, Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works, and Nippon Sharyo that hauled both passenger and freight trains on the rack railway between Sawahlunto and Padang in West Sumatra. They were nicknamed "Mak Itam", derived from the Minangkabau phrase "black uncle".

Kahuripan is an economy class train that serves the Kiaracondong-Blitar route via the southern railway lines of Java Island.
