Tapin Regency is one of regencies in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan. The regency was created on 14 July 1965 by splitting off the districts which had until then comprised the southern part of South Hulu Sungai Regency. The regency's motto is "Ruhui Rahayu", and this is also shared by another Indonesian province. It covers an area of 2,174.95 km2 and had a population of 167,877 at the 2010 Census and 189,475 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 197,893. The administrative centre of the regency is at the town of Rantau.
North Bengkulu is a regency of Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, on the island of Sumatra. It originally covered much of the northern part of Bengkulu Province, but on 25 February 2003 the most northwesterly districts were split off to form a separate Mukomuko Regency, and on 24 June 2008 the most southeastern districts were likewise split off to create a new Central Bengkulu Regency. The residual regency now covers an area of 4,424.59 km2, and it had a population of 257,675 at the 2010 Census and 296,523 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 302,833. The administrative centre is at the town of Arga Makmur.
South Labuhanbatu Regency is a regency of North Sumatra Province of Indonesia, created on 21 July 2008 by being carved out of the southern districts of the existing Labuhanbatu Regency. The new South Labuhanbatu Regency covers an area of 3,596 square kilometres and according to the 2010 census it had a population of 277,673, which rose to 314,094 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 330,797. Its administrative headquarters are at the town of Kotapinang.
Padang Lawas is a regency in the North Sumatra province of Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,912.18 km2, and had a population of 226,807 at the 2010 Census and 261,011 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 275,648 - comprising 138,506 males and 137,142 females. Its administrative seat is the town of Sibuhuan. Padang Lawas Regency was created on 17 July 2007 from southeastern parts of the South Tapanuli Regency. It is the only regency in this province that borders two other provinces, West Sumatra and Riau.

North Padang Lawas Regency was created on 17 July 2007 from the eastern parts of the South Tapanuli Regency. Its administrative seat is the town of Gunung Tua.
Samosir Regency is an inland regency in North Sumatra. It was created on 18 December 2003 by splitting away the western districts of the former Toba Samosir Regency. The regency covers a land area of 1,444.25 square kilometres, including the whole of Samosir Island in the inland sea of Lake Toba. It had a population of 119,653 at the 2010 census and 136,441 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate for mid 2023 was 141,333 - comprising 70,648 males and 70,685 females. Its administrative seat is the town of Pangururan on the west coast of Samosir Island.
Toba Regency is a landlocked regency in North Sumatra. Its seat is Balige. The regency covers an area of 2,021.8 square kilometres; it had a population of 173,129 at the 2010 census and 206,199 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 213,850. Although landlocked, the regency includes the eastern shore of the vast inland Lake Toba.
Mimika Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in the Indonesian province of Central Papua. It covers an area of 21,693.51 km2, and had a population of 182,001 at the 2010 Census, but grew to 311,969 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as of mid-2023 was 313,016. The administrative centre is the town of Timika, which lies within Mimika Baru District, which had 143,367 inhabitants in mid-2023.
Bungo Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Jambi Province in Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 4 October 1999 by the division of the former Bungo Tebo Regency into a new Tebo Regency and this Bungo Regency. The regency covers an area of 4,659 km2. As at the 2010 census, the regency had a population of 303,135 and 362,363 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 373,344. The administrative capital is the town of Muara Bungo.
Empat Lawang Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It was created on 2 January 2007 from what had been formerly the western districts of Lahat Regency. It covers an area of 2,256.44 km² and had a population of 221,176 at the 2010 Census and 333,622 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 357,673. The regency seat is at the town of Tebing Tinggi.
East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It was created on 18 December 2003 from what had formerly been the eastern districts of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. It covers an area of 3,370 km2 and had a population of 609,982 at the 2010 Census and 649,853 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 673,966. The regency seat is the town of Martapura. It borders Ogan Ilir Regency to the north, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency to the west, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in the east and Lampung Province and South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in the south.
South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency is an inland regency in the far south of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It was created on 18 December 2003 from what had previously been the southernmost districts of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. It covers an area of 5,493.94 km2, and had a population of 318,428 at the 2010 Census and 408,981 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 426,687. The administrative centre is the town of Muaradua. It borders Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency and Muara Enim Regency to the north. It also borders Lampung Province to the south and east and Bengkulu Province to the west.
West Lampung Regency is a landlocked regency of Lampung Province, in the south of Sumatra, Indonesia. It was originally created on 16 August 1991 by splitting off the western districts of the existing North Lampung Regency; and until 2012 it had an area of 4,950.4 km2 of which forests occupied some 57% of the total area. It had a population of 418,560 people at the 2010 census. However, on 25 October 2012 the southwestern part of this area was separated from West Lampung Regency to form the new Pesisir Barat Regency.
South Lampung Regency is a regency of Lampung, Sumatra, Indonesia, a strip of land surrounding the provincial capital of Bandar Lampung on its northern and eastern sides, and bounded to the west by the new Pesawaran Regency and to the south by the Sunda Strait; as such it is a major transit corridor to/from Java island. It has an area of 2,109.74 km2, and a population of 909,989 at the 2010 census and 1,064,301 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,101,376. The regency seat is the town of Kalianda.
Central Lampung Regency is a regency of the province of Lampung, on Sumatra, Indonesia. On 20 April 1999, two areas were separated from the original regency - the southeastern portion was split off to form a separate East Lampung Regency, while the town of Metro was created as an independent city. The reduced regency has an area of 4,559.57 km2 and had a population of 1,170,048 people at the 2010 census and 1,460,045 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,508,331. The regency seat is the town of Gunung Sugih.
North Lampung Regency is an inland regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, in Indonesia. As originally created, it covered a much larger share of the land area of Lampung Province, but on 16 August 1991 its western districts were split off to create a new West Lampung Regency ; on 3 January 1997 its north-eastern districts were split off to create a new Tulang Bawang Regency ; and on 20 April 1999 its north-western districts were split off to create a new Way Kanan Regency.
Pringsewu Regency is a regency of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 625 km² and had a population of 364,825 people at the 2010 Census and 405,466 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 408,415. The regency seat is the town of Pringsewu, located 37 kilometres from the provincial capital of Bandar Lampung. The regency was created on 29 October 2008 from the former eastern part of Tanggamus Regency.
Tanggamus Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 4,654.96 km² and had a population of 534,595 at the 2010 Census and 640,275 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 652,898. The regency seat is the town of Kota Agung Pusat. The regency was created on 21 March 1997, but districts in its eastern part split away on 29 October 2008 to form the new Pringsewu Regency. It lies in the southwest of the province, and surrounds Semangka Bay on its west, north and east coasts.
West Tulang Bawang Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 29 October 2008 from what were formerly the western districts of Tulang Bawang Regency. It has an area of 1,201.15 km2 and had a population of 250,707 people at the 2010 Census and 286,162 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 289,620. The regency seat is the town of Panaragan Jaya.
Pesisir Barat Regency is a regency in Lampung Province of Indonesia. It was created on 25 October 2012 from the eight western districts of West Lampung Regency. It covers an area of 2,907.23 km2, and had a population of 141,741 at the 2010 Census and 162,697 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 164,816. The administrative center is the town of Krui. The majority group in the Pesisir Barat Regency is the Lampung people.
