Lalon is a Bengali folk, rock and fusion music band origin from Khulna, Bangladesh. [2] The band was formed in Khulna in 2001 and mostly influenced by Fakir Lalon Shah. [3]

Nigar Sultana Sumi established the band on 2001 in greater Khulna. [4] [5] [6] She is the founder and main vocalist of the band. The band first Album Biprotip was released in 2007. After two years later their second album Khepa was released.

Lalon, also known as Lalon Shah, Lalon Fakir, Shahji and titled Fakir, Shah, was a prominent Bengali spiritual leader, philosopher, mystic poet and social reformer born in Jhenaidah, Bengal Subah. Regarded as an icon of Bengali culture, he inspired and influenced many philosophers, poets and social thinkers including Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Allen Ginsberg. Lalon's philosophy of humanity rejects all distinctions of caste, class, and creed and takes stand against theological conflicts and racism. It denies all worldly affairs in search of the soul and embodied the socially transformative role of sub-continental Bhakti and Sufism.

Ark is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist Ashiquzzaman Tulu. The original founder members are Ashiquzzaman Tulu, Ridwan Nabi Pancham and Shamim. As of 2017, the band line-up re-consists of lead vocalist Syed Hasanur Rahman, keyboardist Tinku Azizur Rahman and drummer Hassan Towhidur Rahman.

Different Touch is a Bangladeshi band in the early 1990s, originating from Khulna, by Balaam. Different Touch performed soft rock and blues and were known for songs such as Drishti Prodip, Sraboner Megh, Bhalobashar Tanpura. The band, however, became inactive in the late 1990s when three members of the band went abroad permanently and vocalist Misbah took over his family business in Khulna following his father's death. Different Touch made a comeback in 2013, 16 years after the release of its fourth album titled Proshno in 1997. The title of the upcoming fifth album has not yet been finalised, but recording of most of the 10 songs have been completed, said the vocalist and band leader Misbah Rahman, widely known simply as Misbah.

Shironamhin is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 14 April 1996. Following as a rock group emerging from Dhaka's underground music in the late 1990s, they were distinguished for their extended psychedelic and progressive compositions, multi-instrumental experimentation, and philosophical lyrics and became one of the leading band of the Bengali progressive rock genre. In 2008, the band became a member of the Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA).

Prithibi is a Bengali rock band officially formed in Kolkata, India in the year 2005. But its original formation goes back to 2001 at Ashutosh College. Presently the band consists of Kaushik, Deep, Arunangshu (guitar) and Aniruddha, Deepayan, Debangshu (guitar). The band became more popular with audiences when they stood first runner up in a competition, Band-E-Mataram held in Kolkata by a music channel, Sangeet Bangla, record label Asha Audio and Sangbad Pratidin in 2005.

Feedback is a Bangladeshi rock band, formed on 4 October 1976 in Dhaka by keyboardist Foad Nasser Babu. Multiple lineup changes have taken place since 1976. They have released seven studio albums and have also appeared in some compilations.

Sudhir Chakravarti was a Bengali educationist and essayist. He made a vast contribution in Bengal's folk culture development and research. Chakravarti had completely changed the style of colonial prose with his new narrative style. He successfully had replaced the prevailing idea of essay-based writing being something of heavy scholarly matter with his graceful and humorous prose language.

Mukhosh is a 1990s blues band based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The band was formed by Khalid Hossain Raju (vocals) and S M Khosrose Mohit (drummer) in 1997. They released their first self-titled album Mukhosh from the banner of recording company Soundtek in 2000. After 2000, the band was inactive for 17 years and reappeared with their second album Digital Bhalobasha in December 2017.

Obscure is a Bangladeshi pop and rock music band from Khulna formed by Sayed Hasan Tipu on 15 March 1985.
