Avash (English: Hint) is a Dhaka-based Bangladeshi rock band formed on 16 December 2017. [1] The band were co-founded by Tanzir Tuhin and Raajue Sheikh. As of 2023, the band has released five singles.[ citation needed ]

History

Formation

In 2017, Tanzir Tuhin, former lead vocalist of the band Shironamhin, became embroiled in controversy, [2] [3] and left the band on 7 October. [4] On 16 December of the same year, [nb 1] Tuhin (vocals),former bassist of Obscure Raajue Sheikh (bass), Sumon Monjurul (lead), Rinku Imam (drums), Shawon Kaium (keyboards)- formed the band Avash. [6] [7] On 1 February 2018, the band performed their first live performance on the open stage at Jahangirnagar University.

The band released their debut single "Manush-1" on 15 May 2018. [8] [9] Later, on 27 January 2019, they released self-titled track "Avash". [8] [7] [9] The group's third single, "Bastob", was released on 23 February in 2020. [10] [9] The music video for the song was directed by Arifur Rahman. [11] And in January 2021 they released their latest single "Anath", which has an animated video.

Tanzir Chowdhury Tuhin is a Bangladeshi musician, singer-songwriter, actor, painter, and architect, best known as a longtime member of the independent music group Shironamhin. He joined the group as lead vocalist in 2000. Shironamhin subsequently achieved national success with their albums Bondho Janala, Shironamhin Rabindranath and Shironamhin Shironamhin. By the late 2000s, they had become one of the most well-known group in the rock music history of Bangladesh. Amid personal conflict, Tuhin left Shironamhin in 2017 and form a new band named Avash at the end of that year.

Operation Sundarbans or Operation Sundarban is a Bangladeshi wildlife action thriller movie. The film is co-written and directed by Dipankar Sengupta Dipon. The film is produced by RAB Welfare Cooperative Society Ltd. Nazim-ud-Doula and Dipon have written the screenplay. The plot is loosely based on real operations of RAB during surrender of robbers of Sundarbans as well as the struggle of Sundarbans' natives. It stars Riaz, Ziaul Roshan, Siam Ahmed, Taskeen Rahman, Shatabdi Wadud, Nusraat Faria and Darshana Banik, while Manoj Pramanik, debutant Samina Bashar, Dipu Imam, Ehsanur Rahman also joins the cast. Ichchhe Ghuri is the second album by the Bengali psychedelic rock band Shironamhin. G-Series released the album on 1 May 2006 in the Bangladesh.

Prince Mahmud is a Bangladeshi lyricist, composer and music director. He has been writing and composing songs for solo and joint albums of band artists in Bangladesh since the 90's. Many of his songs gained wide popularity. His first mixed album Shakti (1995) propelled his journey as a composer of mixed albums, which immediately garnered him a massive success. In a career spanning more than three decades, Mahmud has released 50 albums including solo, duets and mixed. He is widely regarded as the greatest lyricist and composer of his time.
