Dalchhut is a Bangladeshi pop rock band formed by Bappa Mazumder and Sanjeeb Choudhury in Dhaka in 1996.

History

In 1996, Bappa Mazumder and Sanjeeb Chowdhury formed the band under the name Dalchhut.

In 1997, Dalchhut released their first album Ah.

In 2000, Dalchhut released their second album Hridoypur.

In 2002, Dalchhut released their third album Akash Churi.

In 2007, Dalchhut released their fourth album Jochona Bihar.

In 2008, Dalchhut released their fifth album Tukro Kotha which is a single tracked album by Bappa Mazumder and is a tribute to Sanjeeb Choudhury. [1] They also released their sixth album Kingbodonti with Souls and is also a tribute to Sanjeeb Choudhury that features 3 songs by Bappa Mazumder, 3 songs by Partha Barua and the last song recorded by Sanjeeb Choudhury. [2]

In 2010, Dalchhut released their seventh album Ei Amontron.

In 2016, Dalchhut have taken a brand new reformation with Bappa Mazumder on vocals & lead guitar, Shahan Kabondho as the band manager, Wahidur Rahman Masum on lead guitar, Sohel Aziz on keyboards, John Sutton Munshi on bass guitar and Sheikh Imran Ahmed Dano on drums. [3]

Ark is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist Ashiquzzaman Tulu. The original founder members are Ashiquzzaman Tulu, Ridwan Nabi Pancham and Shamim. Sanjeeb Choudhury was a Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, writer, journalist and political activist. He was one of the two leading members of the Bengali band Dalchhut with Bappa Mazumder and was the composer for Dalchhut's four albums. He was also a journalist and worked for the newspaper Ajker Kagoj, Bhorer Kagoj, and Jaijaidin. He was an activist during the mass upsurge against the autocratic regime of Hossain Mohammad Ershad.

Amar Prithibi is the debut studio album by Bangladeshi alternative rock band Black, released in 2002 by G-Series. According to the record label, the album has sold over 300,000 copies. Years later and following the release of further albums, its songs "Amar Prithibi", "Amra", "Obhiman", "Prarthonad", and "Miththa" remained some of Black's most popular compositions with fans, according to journalists at The Daily Star and The Business Standard.

Black is the fourth studio album by Bangladeshi rock band Black. In 2009 Black announced on their official Facebook page that they had started to work on their fourth studio album and it would be a self-titled album. Work on the album properly started after Rafiqul Ahsan Titu (ex-Aashor) joined the band as the permanent bass player after Shahriar Shagor left the band. Black stated, they had plans to release the album on the Eid-ul-Azha of 2010, but due to other commitments of the band members and tight scheduling they were unable to succeed. After a few more changes of speculated release dates the band finally announced the official release date, August 21, 2011. According to the band, the album contains the heaviest possible music they have yet made. The first single off the album was "Aajo...", its music video premiered at YouTube in September 2011.
