Lanascalidae is an extinct family of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs.
According to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi (2005) the family Lanascalidae used to be in superfamily Cerithioidea of the clade Sorbeoconcha, [1] [2] and has no subfamilies. [1] It has only one genus.
Since 2018, the family is moved to Seguenzioidea. [3] [4]
Sorbeoconcha is a taxonomic clade of snails, i.e. gastropods, mainly marine species with gills and opercula, within the clade Caenogastropoda.
Neritoidea is a taxonomic superfamily of mostly sea snails, nerites and their allies, marine gastropod mollusks in the order Cycloneritida.
Philinoidea is a taxonomic superfamily of sea slugs, specifically headshield slugs, marine gastropod mollusks in the order Cephalaspidea.
Columbariidae, known as pagoda shells, are a family of large deepwater sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Turbinelloidea. Some 60 extant species have been described.
Liotiidae is a family of small sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the clade Vetigastropoda.
Eucyclidae is a family of gastropods in the superfamily Seguenzioidea.
The Cerithioidea is a superfamily of marine, brackish water and freshwater gastropod containing more than 200 genera. The Cerithoidea are included unassigned in the subclass Caenogastropoda. The original name of this superfamily was Cerithiacea, in keeping with common superfamily endings at the time.
Ampullinidae are a mostly extinct taxonomic family of deep-water sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Caenogastropoda.
The Vermetoidea, the worm snails or worm shells, are a taxonomic superfamily of small to medium-sized sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the order Littorinimorpha.
Mathildoidea is a superfamily of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the informal group Lower Heterobranchia.
Olivoidea is a taxonomic superfamily of minute to medium-large predatory sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the clade Neogastropoda.
Litiopidae, common name litiopids, is a family of small sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Sorbeoconcha.
Zardinellidae is an extinct taxonomic family of fossil sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Acteonoidea.
The Cornirostridae is a taxonomic family of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the informal group Lower Heterobranchia.
The Hyalogyrinidae is a taxonomic family of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the informal group Lower Heterobranchia.
† Prisciphoridae is an extinct family of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the clade Sorbeoconcha.
Procerithiidae is a taxonomic family of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Sorbeoconcha.
Obtortionidae is a family of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the superfamily Cerithioidea, that is within the clade Cerithimorpha or in clade Sorbeoconcha.
Rostellariidae is a family of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Littorinimorpha.
Cimoideais a superfamily of rather specialized, highly evolved sea slugs and sea snails, within the infraclass "Lower Heterobranchia".
