Lijomol Jose is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. She was critically acclaimed for portraying Senggeni in the Tamil film Jai Bhim (2021), which won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award at the 67th Filmfare Awards South. [3] [4]

Career

Lijomol made her acting debut in the highly acclaimed Malayalam film, Maheshinte Prathikaaram in 2016. [1] [5] She then played the second female lead in the commercially successful film Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan in the same year. [5] [6] In her third film, Honey Bee 2.5 (2017), she played the role of a personal make-up artist of actress Bhavana. [7] She then starred in Street Lights (2018) with Mammootty before making her Tamil cinema debut with Sivappu Manjal Pachai (2019) opposite Siddharth. [8] [9] She was critically acclaimed for portraying the anguish of a primitive Irular tribe, Senggeni in Jai Bhim, co-starring actor Suriya. [10] [11] [12]

Ee.Ma.Yau. is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language independent tragedy film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by P. F. Mathews. It stars Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Pauly Valsan, Bitto Davis, Kainakary Thankaraj, Dileesh Pothan and Arya Salim in the main roles. The film had its premiere on 30 November 2017 and was theatrically released on 4 May 2018. The film revolves around the death and funeral of an older man from the Latin Catholic community in Chellanam, Ernakulam district. Lijo Jose Pellissery won the Best Director Award at the 48th Kerala State Film Awards for Ee.Ma.Yau. <i>Jai Bhim</i> (film) 2021 film by T. J. Gnanavel

Jai Bhim is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language legal drama film that was directed by T. J. Gnanavel, and produced by Jyothika and Suriya under the banner of 2D Entertainment. The film stars Suriya, Lijomol Jose and Manikandan with Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Guru Somasundaram, and Rao Ramesh in supporting roles. The film is about police bias and state violence against a marginalised community. Jai Bhim is based on a 1993 Cuddalore incident that involves a legal case fought by Justice K. Chandru; it revolves around Sengeni and Rajakannu, a couple from the Irular tribe. Police arrested Rajakannu and he later went missing from the police station. Sengeni seeks the help of lawyer Chandru to seek justice for her husband.

Rajesh Madhavan is an Indian actor and assistant director who works in Malayalam cinema. Rajesh made his acting debut in 2016 with a supporting role in Maheshinte Prathikaaram. He started his career as an assistant director in the industry with Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017). He is recognized for his works as actor and creative director for the film Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam and his role as Manaf in Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham in 2021. He is making his directorial debut with an upcoming film titled Pennum Porattum.

<i>Jai Bhim</i> (soundtrack) 2021 soundtrack album by Sean Roldan

Jai Bhim is the soundtrack to the 2021 Tamil-language legal drama film of the same name directed by T. J. Gnanavel and starred Suriya whose production company 2D Entertainment also produced the film. The film features musical score composed by Sean Roldan, with lyrics written by Yugabharathi, Raju Murugan and Arivu. Preceded by three singles—"Power", "Thala Kodhum" and "Sendumalli"—the soundtrack was released by Sony Music India on 1 November 2021, with a bonus song "Manniley Eeramundu" unveiled after the film's release. The music received positive response from critics.
