Linda K. Myers (born August 18,1940) is a Republican politician in Vermont. She was a member of the Vermont House of Representatives from 2001 to 2020,representing the Chittenden-8-1 Representative District,formerly the Chittenden-6-1 Representative District. [1]
Myers was born in Nanty Glo,Pennsylvania,and was educated in the public schools of Cleveland,Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kent State University in 1962. [2] Myers was the Editorial Assistant for the Electronic Industries Association (EIA),now the Electronic Industries Alliance,from 1962 to 1963. She was Editorial Assistant of the Service Employees International Union from 1963 to 1968 and worked as a free lance journalist from 1968 to 1984. [3] Myers moved to Essex,Vermont in 1978,and served as Managing Editor of "The Essex Reporter" from 1984 to 2001. [4]
Myers has served on the Essex Selectboard since 2001 and is a Justice of the Peace. She is a former cheerleading coach at Essex High School,and has been involved in cheerleading on the local,state and national levels for twenty-five years. She was named high school cheerleading's "National Contributor of the Year" by the National Federation of State High School Association's Spirit Committee in 2003. [5]
She was appointed to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2001 after the death of her husband,Representative Martin J. Myers. She has been elected as a Republican candidate to the State House since 2003. She is a member of the Administrative Rules Committee and the House Committee on Appropriations. She is also a member of the Judicial Nominating Board. [6] Previously,she was the Vice Chair of the House Corrections and Institutions Committee. [7]
Myers resides in Essex,Vermont. She and her late husband have two daughters,Robyn and Kasey and two sons-in-law,Scott and Mark.

David E. Zuckerman is an American politician who is currently serving as the 84th lieutenant governor of Vermont since 2023. He previously served two terms as the 82nd lieutenant governor of Vermont,from 2017 to 2021. A member of the Vermont Progressive Party,he previously served in the Vermont House of Representatives for seven terms (1997–2011),and the Vermont Senate for two (2013–2017). In 2020,Zuckerman was a candidate for governor of Vermont. He ran with the support of both the Progressive Party and the Democratic Party,but lost to incumbent governor Phil Scott in the general election.
The Chittenden-6-1 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002,2004,2006,2008,and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census.

Donald H. "Don" Turner Jr. is an American Republican politician who served in the Vermont House of Representatives,to which he was first elected in 2006. The 2022 Vermont Senate election took place on November 8,2022,as part of the biennial United States elections. The election coincided with elections for other offices including the U.S. Senate,U.S. House,Governor,and State House. Vermont voters elected all 30 state senators from 16 districts,with each district electing between one and three senators. State senators serve two-year terms in the Vermont Senate. Primary elections were held on August 9,2022. This election would be the first to use new districts adopted by the Vermont General Assembly to allocate for population changes across the state after the 2020 census.
