Linda Stahl (born 2 October 1985) is a retired German track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw.

She won gold at the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona, Spain, throwing a then personal best throw of 66.81 metres.
Stahl finished 3rd at the Europeans in 2012 with a result of 63.69 m. She also took the bronze medal at the Olympics in London with a season's best throw of 64.91 m.
In 2013, she was 4th at the World Championships in Moscow with a result of 64.78 m.
In 2014, she took the bronze at the Europeans in Zürich after leading the competition till the 5th round, and also improved her personal best to 67.32 m.
She grew up in Blomberg, and studies Medicine at the University of Cologne. She represented the sports club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, having changed club in 2003 from LG Lippe-Süd, and trained with Steffi Nerius under coach Helge Zöllkau.

Andrei Anatolyevich Mikhnevich is a Belarusian shot putter with a personal best of 21.69 metres, set in 2003. In 2013 he was banned from sports for life due to his second doping positive.
Karen Forkel is a German track and field athlete and an Olympic medal winner. In the 1990s she was among the world's best javelin throwers. Her biggest success came in the 1992 Summer Olympics when she took the bronze medal with a throw of 66.86 meters.
Mercedes Chilla López is a javelin thrower from Spain. She has represented Spain at two Summer Olympics and has also competed at the World Championships in Athletics. Chilla is the Spanish record holder for the event, with a best mark of 64.07 metres, and has won medals at the Mediterranean Games and the Ibero-American Championships.
Annika Suthe is a retired female javelin thrower from Germany. She was born in Mettingen, in Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia region. Her personal best throw is 61.38 metres, achieved in May 2004 in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, which is the German junior record. This ranks her sixth among German javelin throwers, behind Christina Obergföll, Tanja Damaske, Steffi Nerius, Karen Forkel and Dörthe Friedrich.
Dani Stevens is a retired Australian discus thrower who in 2009 became the youngest ever female world champion in the event. She is the current national and Oceanian record holder. Stevens qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and threw 58.77m in the Women's dicus throw. This was not a sufficient distance to qualify her for the final.
Stephanie Storp is a retired female shot putter from Germany. Her best performance was winning the bronze medal at the 1997 World Championships, with a throw of 19.22 metres. She also won the silver medal at the 1993 World Indoor Championships, and represented her country in the Summer Olympics of 1992 and 1996. She ended her athletics career in 1998, having taken up basketball as a new sport.
The Women's Javelin Throw at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics will be held at the Olympic Stadium on August 16 and August 18. It was the seventh edition of the athletics competition for throwing events organised by the European Athletics Association. The women's javelin throw competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was held at the Olympic Stadium on 16–18 August. Each athlete received three throws in the qualifying round. All who achieved the qualifying distance progressed to the final. Each finalist was allowed three throws in last round, with the top eight athletes after that point being given three further attempts.

She has won gold at the 2011 World Youth Championships, 2015 European U23 Championships and at the 2018 European Championships. Lukas Weißhaidinger is an Austrian discus thrower and shot putter. He was European junior discus champion in 2011 and holds the Austrian record in men's discus throw. He won bronze medals at the 2018 European Championships, 2019 World Athletics Championships, and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Kelsey-Lee Barber is an Australian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. She won gold at the 2019 World Championships, and her personal best of 67.70 m ranks her 13th in the overall list.

Daniel Ståhl is a Swedish athlete specialising in the discus throw. Ståhl is the Olympic champion and two-time world champion, setting the new championships record in Budapest.
The men's discus throw at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics will be held at the Olympic Stadium on 4th–5th August.
