Lindel Fields is an American school superintendent who has served as the Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction since October 2025.
Fields was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt to succeed Ryan Walters after his resignation.
Lindel Fields grew up in Skiatook,Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996 and earned a master's degree from Southern Nazarene University in 1999. He started his career teaching at the Dick Conner Correctional Center in 1991,and was promoted to director of instruction in 1994. He was the assistant director at Central Tech in Drumright,Oklahoma in 1998. He spent 12 years as the superintendent of the Tri County Technology Center in Bartlesville,Oklahoma. After retiring in 2021,he founded Your Culture Coach,a leadership consulting firm. [1]
