Davidson County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 168,930. Its county seat is Lexington, and its largest city is Thomasville.

This Piedmont Triad community was established in 1852 and hosts the state's oldest festival, "Everybody's Day". Built around the local railway system, Thomasville is home to the oldest railroad depot in the state, just a few hundred feet from the city's most notable landmark, "The Big Chair".

Midway is situated approximately 275 metres (902 ft) above sea level, and as of 2010 had a population of 4,679. Midway is part of the Piedmont Triad region and is neighbored by the communities of Arcadia (west), Welcome (south), Wallburg (northeast) and Winston-Salem (north). Every autumn, the town hosts the Midway Christmas Parade in celebration of the coming Christmas season.

It is located along North Carolina State Highway 8 on the northern shores of High Rock Lake. There is an organized effort underway to incorporate the community as "The Village of Southmont".

Davidson County Schools is a School district in Davidson County, North Carolina. The administrative education board is headquartered just off of U.S. Highway 64 on County School Road just outside the city limits of Lexington, North Carolina. The school system comprises seven high schools, seven middle schools, eighteen elementary schools, one extended day school, one ungraded special school, and a STEM based career academy. The superintendent is Dr. Emily Lipe. Two other school districts, Lexington City Schools and Thomasville City Schools, are also found in Davidson County.
Central Davidson High School is a public high school in Lexington, North Carolina. Central was established in 1957 and is located along NC HWY 47. It is part of the Davidson County Schools system and serves parts of the Lexington, Southmont, Linwood, Hedrick's Grove and Holly Grove areas. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Jersey Settlement Meeting House, also known as Jersey Baptist Church, is a historic church and meeting house located near Linwood, Davidson County, North Carolina. The Baptist congregation was founded around 1755 by settlers from New Jersey. Among them was Benjamin Merrill, a local leader in the Regulator movement from 1765 to 1771, who was captured and executed following the Battle of Alamance.
Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery is a historic church cemetery located on SR 1272 in Linwood, Davidson County, North Carolina. The church was founded in 1755, and the current Jersey Settlement Meeting House was built nearby in 1842. The cemetery contains approximately 50 burials, with the earliest gravestone dated to 1772. It features a unique collection of folk gravestones by local stonecutters erected in Davidson County in the late-18th and first half of the 19th centuries.

Erlanger Mill Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina, USA. The district encompasses 282 contributing buildings and 7 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Lexington. The mill village dwellings were built between about 1916 and 1929 and include notable examples of Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. The dwellings were constructed by the Erlanger Mill Company as worker's housing and in a subdivision designed by noted landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper (1893–1994). The mill itself is a complex of one- and two-story mill buildings constructed from 1913 through the 1960s. Also located in the district are the Erlanger Baptist Church (1936) and Erlanger Graded School.
