Battle for Dream Island is an animated web series created by twin brothers Cary and Michael Huang. [1] Its first episode was uploaded to YouTube on January 1, 2010. [2]

A dark gray speaker box called the Announcer descends from the sky, announces the existence of Dream Island, an island designed to be the ultimate paradise, and starts a contest with 20 contestants to see who can stay on a balance beam the longest. Pin and Leafy win the first contest and get to organize the teams of the competition; the Squishy Cherries and the Squashy Grapes. The second contest is a race to make a boat and row it to the finish line, which the Squishy Cherries win. Because Pin won the challenge for her team, she obtained a win token, allowing her to halve her votes during Cake at Stake. | ||||

After releasing the eliminated contestants, the Announcer holds the final Cake at Stake for Bubble, Leafy and Firey. There were only 870 votes, which supposedly meant no Season 2 would occur. The cake is a Grand Cake, made up of all the previous cakes. With 406 out of 870 votes, Firey wins the cake and Dream Island. When choosing who gets to enter, Firey lets everyone in except for Leafy, who he excludes because he was hurt by her wanting to get off his ferris wheel. Angered, Leafy buys Dream Island from the Announcer. After the others find out, they threaten to kill her via Flower's Announcer Crusher. Before she is crushed, Firey swoops in using a hang glider and saves her, telling her that he values their friendship rather than the island as they fly away towards the sunset. | ||||

The episode has the TLC inhabitants traveling around the Earth, Balloony sees a floating spiral island but Lollipop swiftly dismisses him. The Cake at Stake is started by the Bugs but FreeSmart kills them so the TLC inhabitants host it, Golf Ball is eliminated. The challenge is getting to a bunk bed at the top of the spiral island, with the contestants split into teams of two temporarily. The contestants go through many islands that have similarities to each TLC inhabit in which they have missions assigned to complete in order to pass to the next island. Tennis Ball and Nickel are the first team to complete with Fries and Bomby being next to complete. Although Pin and Coiny manage to make it to the final island, FreeSmart catches up to them. Pencil and Needle are in the final island and are second-to-last. Ruby and Book, Pin and Coiny are the last teams. Ruby secretly records Pin's song, plays it into the microphone and is about to win the challenge, but Pin, having had enough of the disrespect, sends a surge of electricity through her cable, which travels up the central beam and strikes Ruby and Book before they can get into the bunk bed, allowing Pin and Coiny to become the final teams safe. | |||||

The lava starts to spread around the crust and goes into BEEP's hole which also causes them to evacuate but the lava goes into Golf Ball's Underground Factory which floods it. Gaty signs One's deal to prevent the end of the universe, and thus most of the changes to the timeline are reversed, but the Rift still remains in the sky. Eventually, Pencil acquires almost all of Two's power, and takes Four's as well. Pencil is confronted by One, who offers a chance to redo the events of BFDI in exchange for her powers. Pencil obliges and is sent back. One sends Four away and blasts off into space, continuing to wreak havoc while the fate of the Earth lies uncertain. | |||||

One's backstory is revealed: a past of unending isolation and perceived betrayal. In the flashback, she discovers a Yoylite meteor that grants her her mysterious powers. After showing the meteor to Three and helping them gain their own power, she is heartbroken to discover the next morning that their secret was shared with the rest of the numbers. One uses her powers to shatter Three to pieces before being overcome by regret, trying to revive them, and partly succeeding, albeit in a disfigured and catatonic state. Four leads the other numbers (sans Two and Three) in banishing One for her actions. The remainder of the episode is spent in various flashes forward, showcasing One meticulously planning her vengeance, as well as her off-screen confrontations with other missing objects. In the present day, One finds Nine on another planet, destroys it and abducts them, leaving their fate unknown as the episode abruptly ends. | |||||
