Adele Roberts (born 9 March 1979) is a DJ and personal assistant from Southport. [1] She was one of the original twelve Housemates to enter the house on Day 1. She had a flirtatious relationship with Lee, before revealing to him that she was bisexual and had a girlfriend outside of the house. Despite this, the two remained close friends in the house. Adele also had a close friendship with housemate Jade, though the two at times argued in the house. In her last few weeks in the house, Adele had an extremely close friendship with housemate Alex. She initially felt close to housemate Alison as they were "both black", however, Adele later felt that Alison did not really like her. Adele proved to be quite popular amongst her fellow housemates, and received no nominations in the first three rounds of nominations. On Day 39, it was revealed that Adele had been nominated for eviction, along with Jade, Jonny, and Kate. On Day 43, it was revealed that Adele had been evicted from the house, having received 62% of the public vote. She was disliked by viewers of the series, and exited the house to an extremely negative reception from the crowd. She came in seventh place.
Adele later returned to the series in 2007, and participated in a task for Big Brother 8 alongside Alex. [2]
Roberts now works as a DJ and presenter for BBC Radio 1. She is currently the presenter of the station's early breakfast Show from 4:00-6:30am. [3] She is also regular cover for Alice Levine and Clara Amfo. In November 2019, it was announced that Roberts would be participating in the nineteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! . [4] Adele finished the celebrity competition in 12th (last) place after being the first to be voted off.
Alex Sibley (born 21 March 1979) is a model from London. [5] Alex was one of the original twelve housemates to enter the house on Day 1. He has stated that he has been a model for four years, but that work is "scarce" at the moment. He has modeled for brands such as Armani, which he described as being his "big break." He states he wanted to try new things, which inspired him to audition for the series. In the house, Alex often tried to keep things clean around the house, and often annoyed his fellow housemates over the cleanliness of the house. Alex was seen as attempting to take over the leadership role in the house, and in turn annoyed his fellow housemates by trying to stay in control. He was initially attracted to Adele in the house, but he later found out that she had a girlfriend outside of the house. Despite this, the two remained friends during their time together. Alex was also good friends with housemate Tim in the house, as well as Sandy. He clashed with numerous housemates such as Alison, Jonny, Kate, and Jade while in the house. He was nominated for eviction on Day 11, receiving six nominations from his fellow housemates. This was the most nominations received by a Housemate this week. On Day 15, it was revealed that he had barely survived the vote, with only slight over one thousand votes between him and Alison, that night's evictee. Alex was nominated for a second time on Day 25, this time next to housemate Spencer. Alex survived this eviction as well, with Spencer receiving 55% of the public vote to evict. On Day 53, Alex was nominated for eviction against Tim, making them the final housemates to be nominated for eviction this season. Both men received a total of three nominations, being nominated together by all three of these Housemates. On Day 57, Tim was evicted from the house, receiving 81% of the public vote. This ensured Alex a spot in the finale of the series. On Day 64, it was revealed that Alex had been evicted from the house during the finale, coming in third place. Alex exited the house to a generally positive reception from the audience. He received 27% of the public vote to win the series.
Following his appearance on Big Brother 3, Alex made various appearances in the series. Alex, along with fellow housemate Adele, made an appearance in Big Brother 8 to participate in a task. She has stated that she is "addicted" to Vaseline, and uses it to keep her lips moisturized. She also stated that putting her on the series would provide the viewers with "excitement." Being a bigger woman, Alison often joked about her weight in the house. When asked to make a painting on a dining room chair that best described their personalities, Alison painted a plate of food on her chair. On Day 12, she broke a bench in the garden while she and Kate were jumping on it, and the side she was standing on broke under her weight. She had close relationships with most of her fellow Housemates, mainly Kate and Jade. Alison initially stated that she fancied Housemate Alex, who was a model. Despite this, the two often clashed, especially after Alison admitted to peeing in the shower, a fact which greatly upset Alex. He later nominated both Alison and Jonny for this reason at the first round of nominations. Housemate Adele initially felt a connection with Alison as they are both "black", however, she later stated she felt as though Alison did not really like her. Housemate Lee did not care for Alison, and he and Adele spoke poorly of her in the house. On Day 11, Alison was nominated for eviction by her fellow Housemates, having received four nominations from her fellow Housemates. She was nominated alongside Alex and Sandy, who had received six and four nominations respectively. On Day 15, it was revealed that Alison had been evicted from the house, having received 39% of the public vote that week. She received only slightly over one thousand more votes than Alex, almost surviving the eviction. Following her exit, she received a widely positive reception from the audience. Alison came in eleventh place.
Jade Goody (5 June 1981 – 22 March 2009) was a dental nurse from Bermondsey. Jade was one of the original twelve housemates to enter the house on Day 1. She described herself as being "bubbly" and "outspoken," and stated this is why she was perfect for the house. Davina stated that Jade was terrified before entering the house, as she had a phobia of ketchup. She had met fellow housemate Kate at the audition process, thus the two knew each other briefly before entering the house. She quickly became known for her antics in the house, mainly her seemingly naive and "dumb" comments about generally well known topics. [6] She was very emotional in the house, and frequently cried. She was often referred to as the "baby" of the house as she was the youngest housemate in the house. Jade got along well with most of the housemates, mainly Kate and Alison. She had a numerous confrontations in the house, with her argument with Adele being selected as the "Best Bit of Big Brother" in a 2003 poll. She also had a strong dislike for housemate Sophie, who entered the house on Day 10. Jade and Adele frequently argued in the house, as well as Alex. She had an up and down relationship with housemate PJ, who Jade performed oral sex on. Following this, however, he often ignored her and would criticise her actions in the house. On Day 8, Jade learned that she had been nominated for eviction by the public, and that the housemates would vote to evict either her or Lynne; the group unanimously chose to keep Jade in the game. On Day 26, following an altercation with Adele, Jade emotionally decided she wanted to walk from the game; she later was talked out of it by Big Brother. On Day 39, it was revealed that Jade had been nominated for eviction alongside Adele, Jonny, and Kate. She ultimately survived the eviction, with Adele being evicted that week. She was not nominated again in the series, and advanced to the finale of the series. On Day 64, Jade was evicted from the house in fourth place. She exited the house to a generally positive reception from the audience. She received 20% of the public vote to win the series.
Jade had experienced an immense amount of fame since leaving the house, and was arguably one of the most successful Housemates the series has had. She had opened a salon since leaving the series, and had numerous products released such as several fitness DVDs, [7] an autobiography, [8] and perfume lines. In 2004, she appeared in the spin-off series Big Brother Panto , alongside fellow housemates Tim and Spencer. In 2007, she became the first person to become an official housemate twice when she appeared on the highly controversial Celebrity Big Brother 5 ; she was the third housemate to be evicted, leaving the house on Day 17. In 2008, she became a Housemate on the Indian version of Big Brother, titled Bigg Boss . On Day 2, Jade voluntarily walked from the house when it was revealed she had cancer. [9] On 22 March 2009 Jade Goody succumbed to cervical cancer. [10]
Jonathon "Jonny" Regan (born 14 October 1972) was a former fireman from Trimdon, County Durham. Jonny was one of the original twelve housemates to enter on Day 1. Host Davina McCall described Jonny as a "joker," and his audition video showed him mocking himself and his foolishness. Throughout the series, Jonny, along with Alison, came up with numerous games in the house to keep everyone entertained, including enacting an episode of The Jerry Springer Show and a game which required partners to try to make more sex positions than another pair. He clashed with housemate Alex in the house, with Jonny becoming annoyed with Alex's attempts to take a leadership role in the house. He also did not get along well with Sandy, who told Jonny that he did not care for him before walking from the house. On Day 18, Jonny was nominated for eviction, having received five nominations from his fellow housemates. On Day 22, it was revealed that Lee had been evicted from the house, having received 84% of the public vote; Jonny only received 16% of the vote. On Day 32, Jonny was nominated for eviction for a second time, this time against Sophie. He had received four nominations from his fellow housemates. On Day 36, Jonny survived the public vote, only receiving 15% of the eviction vote. He was nominated yet again on Day 39, this time with Adele, Jade, and Kate. Ultimately, Adele was evicted that week. On Day 64, it was revealed that Jonny had been crowned the Runner-Up of the series, having received 42% of the public vote against Kate.

She had met fellow housemate Jade at the audition process, thus the two knew each other briefly before entering the house. In the early days, it became apparent that Kate and Spencer had a close friendship, with the two often spending time together in the house. This friendship later developed into a romantic relationship, which also continued outside of the house for some time. She was also close friends with Alison, and was visibly upset with her nomination and subsequent eviction. She clashed with housemate Alex, as did the majority of the house. She felt that he was rude to her, and later cried about it on Day 14. This led to Jade and Alex having an argument in which she defended Kate. On Day 20, both Kate and Spencer received their first strike for crossing the divide. Kate was nominated for the first time on Day 39, being nominated alongside Adele, Jade, and Jonny. She ultimately survived the eviction, with Adele being evicted that week. On Day 44, Housemates were given the task of selecting two housemates to receive a video message from home. In exchange for the messages, the housemates would be nominated for eviction. The group decided to draw straws, and PJ and Kate were selected. This meant that the two of them were up for eviction, making it the second consecutive time that Kate had been nominated for eviction. On Day 50, she survived the eviction, with PJ receiving 81% of the public vote. She was not nominated again in the series, and advanced to the finale. On Day 64, it was revealed that Kate was the winner of Big Brother 3, receiving 58% of the public vote against Jonny. This made her the first female winner for the series.
Following her appearance on Big Brother 3, Kate entered the house again to participate in Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack , which featured a different celebrity entering the house every day. [2]
Lee Davey (born 30 May 1980) was a personal trainer and keen bodybuilder from Leicester. Lee was one of the original twelve housemates to enter the house on Day 1. He was described as looking similar to celebrity Mike Tyson. He has cited himself as a football fan, and stated that he would help raise ratings for the series. Lee states that David Beckham is his hero, and he lives with his father and brother. [11] Before entering the house, he was in a relationship with a woman named Carmen. Lee did not get along well with housemate Jade, with the two nominating each other for eviction and often speaking poorly of one another. In the early days, he had a flirtatious and sometimes romantic relationship with Adele until she revealed to him that she had a girlfriend outside the house. Despite this, the two remained good friends in the house. He also had a romantic relationship with Sophie in the house, who entered as an intruder on Day 10. The two later continued their relationship outside of the house, and later got married, filming the wedding for a Sky One special titled Big Brother's Little Wedding. The two later had a son together, Max, before they ultimately divorced in 2006. Lee did not like fellow Housemate Alison, and he and Adele made fun of her in the house. He frequently expressed boredom in the house, and on Day 14 told Big Brother he was not tempted to walk, but that he refused to. She was the last housemate to be available to enter the house, as she had an exam the day before the live premiere. While in the house, Lynne clashed with fellow housemate Spencer, who she described as being "cocky" and "self-assured." She later confronted him about this, causing a rift between the two. The two later argued yet again, when Lynne became upset that Spencer wanted to move into her bedroom. Lynne was upset with Sunita's decision to walk from the game, and later gave her a bracelet before her departure. She also didn't like PJ while in the house, and at one point referred to both Spencer and PJ as being "sexist" while she was in the diary room. On Day 8, it was revealed to the housemates that Jade and Lynne had been nominated for eviction, with the nominees being decided by a public vote. The Housemates not nominated for eviction then had to vote one of the two out; they chose Lynne, with the majority stating they simply got along better with Jade. She initially stated she was fine with her eviction, but later stated that she felt offended at the fact that she was the first person evicted. Her reception upon her eviction was negative, with one man even attempting to break the barricade to get to her; however, security stopped him. Lynne came in twelfth place.

He also cited a dare made by his friends as part of his decision to enter the house. He clashed with housemate Lynne during her time in the house, with Lynne later referring to him as a "sexist" in the diary room. While in the house, he got along with the majority of his fellow housemates. He had an up and down relationship with Housemate Jade, who performed oral sex on him. He later shunned and criticised her at times in the house, and denied the sexual encounter when asked by Davina McCall. He had a somewhat friendly relationship with housemate Alex, though the two clashed when Alex decided to place PJ on the Poor side of the house in the fourth week. On Day 44, housemates were given the task of selecting two housemates to receive a video message from home. In exchange for the messages, the housemates would be nominated for eviction. The group decided to draw straws, and PJ and Kate were selected. This meant that the two of them were up for eviction, making it the first time that PJ had been nominated. On Day 50, it was revealed that PJ had been evicted from the house, having received 81% of the public vote against Kate. He exited the house to a generally positive reception from the audience. While in the house, he often complained about his fellow Housemates and the events that occurred in the house. He got along well with housemate Alex, who the majority of the housemates disliked due to his attempts at taking a leadership role. The two were noted for spending time together, with housemate PJ saying that they had "segregated themselves," and new housemate Sophie felt as though she could not approach them. On Day 11, Sandy received four nominations from his fellow housemates, and was nominated for eviction against Alex and Alison. He received the fewest votes that week, thus survived the eviction. Following days of stating he felt bored in the house, he revealed on Day 19 that he had chosen to leave the following night. On Day 20, however, after urinating in a bin, he attempted to leave the house by climbing over the wall as the others watched a football match. He managed to do so, and escaped from the house. [13] He later said that "it was the most exciting thing that happened in the house." Sophie entered the house in the evening of day 10 as a replacement for housemate Sunita, who chose to walk three days prior. Spencer almost immediately had a close friendship with Housemate Kate, with the two often spending time together. Their friendship later turned into a romantic relationship, which carried on outside of the house. Spencer and Jade also had a friendship in the house, and she was greatly upset at the news that Spencer had been evicted from the house. He also had a friendship with Housemate Sandy, who Spencer felt enjoyed the "peace and quiet" much like himself. Early on, housemate Lynne referred to Spencer as "cocky" and "self-assured", which upset him. The two did not get along in the house afterwards, and did not really speak during her time in the house. On day 4, she stated in the diary room that she was not happy in the house, but continued in the game. The following day, she told Big Brother that she felt "naive" about joining the show, and that she felt that this "wasn't her party." On Day 6, Sunita confirmed in the diary room that she had officially decided to walk from the game, stating she had become bored with seeing the same faces and being in the same place for so long. On day 7, Sunita officially exited the house. Her decision to walk from the game made Sunita the first person in the series to voluntarily leave the house.
