As of the chart dated April 27, fifteen artists have charted at number one in 2024, with six―¥$, Rich the Kid, Playboi Carti, Teddy Swims, Metro Boomin and Hozier―reaching the top spot for the first time. Ariana Grande became the only act to chart two number-one songs in 2024 so far, with the singles "Yes, And?" and "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)" from her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine (2024). [1] Ye became the first rapper in history to top the chart in three different decades (2000s, 2010s, 2020s), aided by "Carnival". Hozier became the fourth Irish artist, and the first since Sinéad O'Connor in 1990, to top the chart, aided by his 2024 single "Too Sweet".

Harlow wrote the song with producers Oz, Sean Momberger, and Nik D, alongside Nickie Jon Pabón and Reginald Nelton. The song samples the 1995 R&B track "Whatever " by Cadillac Dale. Prior to its release, a snippet of the song went viral on TikTok. The music video for the song was released the same day.

"Like That" is a song by American rapper Future, American record producer Metro Boomin and fellow American rapper Kendrick Lamar. It was sent to US rhythmic radio through Freebandz, Boominati Worldwide, Epic Records, and Republic Records as the third and final single from Future and Metro's collaborative studio album, We Don't Trust You, on March 26, 2024.
