Dilip Prabhavalkar is an Indian Marathi actor, director, playwright and author. He has a career spanning over four decades in Hindi and Marathi theatre, television and movies. He was awarded the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the 2006 Hindi film Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

Starring Chiranjeevi and Karishma Kotak, the film is a remake of the 2006 Hindi film Lage Raho Munnabhai and a sequel to Shankar Dada MBBS (2005). In addition, Dilip Prabhavalkar reprises his role as Mahatma Gandhi, while Srikanth and Sayaji Shinde play other supporting roles. The music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad and filmed by Chota K. Naidu.

Aaghat is a 2010 Marathi-language film directed by veteran movie and stage actor Vikram Gokhale. Produced by Sprint Arts Creations Pvt. Ltd. and producers Mohan Damle, Sanjay Sathaye and Shriram Dandekar, the film is based on a story written by Nitin Lavangare. The cast of the film includes actors Vikram Gokhale, Mukta Barve, Kadambari Kadam and Amol Kolhe. The film was shot in Pune and was released in theatres on 24 December 2010.

After 25 years in the industry, he launched an initiative named Herbarium through his production company Subak to "bring back the lost glory of Marathi musical plays".

Zhala Bobhata is a 2017 Marathi comedy movie starring veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, Kamlesh Sawant, Sanjay Khapre, Bhalchandra Kadam. The film is written and directed by Anup Ashok Jagdale and its screenplay and dialogues are written by Chala Hawa Yeu Dya writer Arvind Jagtap. It had its theatrical release on 6 January 2017.

Loosely based on the life of scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to India's first interplanetary expedition Mars Orbiter Mission, it stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in lead roles alongside H. G. Dattatreya, Vikram Gokhale, Dalip Tahil, Sanjay Kapoor and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub amongst others in supporting roles.

Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre was an Indian television series that aired on Alpha TV Marathi. The series started from 2 November 2001 and ended on 7 January 2005 after 165 episodes. The series was rerun in the COVID-19 pandemic on viewers demand from 15 June to 11 July 2020.
