The Naga People's Front (NPF) is a regional political party in Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. It headed the Nagaland government with the Bharatiya Janata Party, as part of the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland from 2003 to 2018. NPF is coalition partner of N. Biren Singh ministry led BJP government in Manipur. The party also believes in Conservative Christianity and also encourages it.
The Konyaks are a major Naga ethnic group native to the Northeast Indian state of Nagaland. They inhabit the Mon District, which is also known as The Land of the Anghs. The Anghs/Wangs are their traditional chiefs whom they hold in high esteem. Facial tattoos were earned for taking an enemy's head.
Nagaland Lok Sabha constituency is the only Lok Sabha constituency in the Northeastern state of Nagaland.

Rishang Keishing was an Indian politician from Manipur. Rishang served as Chief Minister of Manipur from 1980 to 1988 and from 1994 to 1998. He was former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha representing Manipur.

Tokheho Yepthomi is an Indian politician from Nagaland. He is a former Cabinet Minister of Nagaland and currently Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha for Nagaland.
Hokishe Sema was an Indian politician who served as the third Chief Minister of Nagaland and the fourth Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He was also a member of the drafting committee of Naga People's Convention.
H. Khekiho Zhimomi was a politician from Nagaland, India. He was first elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in 1989, then again in 1993 and again in 2003 he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Nagaland, as the Naga People's Front candidate in the constituency Ghaspani-I (ST), he served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2008 onwards till his death in 2015.

In 16th Lok Sabha, he was defeated by Harinarayan Rajbhar who represented Bharatiya Janata Party by more than 140,000 votes.
Chandresh Kumari Katoch is an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress party. She is a former Minister of Culture in India's central government. She was a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing Jodhpur constituency. Katoch was sworn in as Cabinet Minister in the Government of India on 28 October 2012, and was given the portfolio of the Ministry of Culture. She is daughter of Maharaja Hanwant Singh of Jodhpur and Maharani Krishna Kumari and is married into the royal family of Kangra with Raja Aditya Dev Chand Katoch, in Himachal Pradesh. She contested but lost in the 2014 Indian general election.

The dynastic phenomenon is seen from national level down to district level and even village level.The three-tier structure of Panchayati Raj established in the 1960s also helped to create and consolidate the dynastic phenomenon in rural areas. Apart from government,political families also control cooperative institutions, mainly cooperative sugar factories,district cooperative banks in the state, and since the 1980s private for profit colleges. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also features several senior leaders who are dynasts. In Maharashtra, the NCP has particularly high level of dynasticism.
