Regal Cinemas is an American movie theater chain founded on August 10, 1989 and owned by the British company Cineworld, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, and operates the second-largest theater circuit in the United States, with 6,853 screens in 511 theaters as of December 31, 2021. The three main theater brands operated by Regal Entertainment Group are Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres.
Megabox Joongang is a multiplex cinema chain in South Korea, and the third largest multiplex theater company in the country, after CJ CGV and Lotte Cinema. It is headquartered in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. 4D film is a presentation system combining motion pictures with synchronized physical effects that occur in the theater. Effects simulated in 4D films include motion, vibration, scent, rain, mist, bubbles, fog, smoke, wind, temperature changes, and strobe lights. Seats in 4D venues vibrate and move.

I Am - SM Town Live World Tour in Madison Square Garden is a 2012 South Korean documentary film directed by Choi Jin-sung, that is about 32 SM Town K-pop artists on their journey to become the first Asian singers to stage their milestone SMTown Live '10 World Tour concert at Madison Square Garden in New York. The film was originally scheduled for release in South Korea on 10 May 2012, but was postponed to 21 June 2012, due to audio issues.

4DX is a 4D film presentation system developed by CJ 4DPlex, a subsidiary of South Korean cinema chain CJ CGV. It allows films to be augmented with various practical effects, including motion-seats, wind, strobelights, simulated snow, and scents. First debuted in 2009, it presents films in both stereoscopic 3D and monoscopic 2D formats.
Cheese in the Trap is a 2018 South Korean romantic drama film starring Park Hae-jin, Oh Yeon-seo and Seo Kang Joon, based on the Korean webtoon of the same name. It was released on March 14, 2018.
Golden Slumber is a 2018 South Korean action thriller film directed by Noh Dong-seok, starring Gang Dong-won, Kim Eui-sung, Kim Sung-kyun, Kim Dae-myung, Han Hyo-joo and Yoon Kye-sang. It is based on the 2007 Japanese novel of the same name written by Kōtarō Isaka, previously filmed by Yoshihiro Nakamura in 2010. The film revolves around a deliveryman who has to run for his life after he is held responsible for an explosion causing the death of a presidential candidate.
Movie theaters have existed in what is now South Korea for over a century now. The earliest theaters arrived in the peninsula beginning in the late Joseon period. The first known dedicated theater was Ae Kwan Theater, which was founded in 1895 and is still in operation as of 2023. Other notable early theaters include the 1907 Dansungsa and the 1910 Umigwan. During the 1910–1945 Japanese colonial period, theaters became naturally divided along the lines of language, with Japanese audiences attending some theaters and Korean audiences attending others. This caused Korean theaters to become forums for Korean independence activism, which led to frequent arrests during movie screenings.
Love Yourself in Seoul, also known as BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul, is a concert film by South Korean boy band BTS. It takes place during the August 26, 2018, show of the band's Love Yourself Tour at Seoul Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. Distribution was handled by Fathom Events and Pathé Live.
ScreenX is a panoramic film format which presents films with an expanded, dual-sided, 270-degree screens projected on the walls in a theater. First introduced in 2012, it is created by CJ 4DPLEX, a subsidiary of the CJ CGV group which also created the 4DX motion-theater technology, which uses a similar logo and combines both formats, known as Ultra 4DX. Co-developed by KAIST, it is considered a "sideways" version of IMAX and a presumed competitor to streaming platforms such as Netflix.
Monsta X: The Dreaming is a 2021 South Korean documentary film and concert film, directed by Oh Yoon-dong and Sung Shin-hyo, featuring South Korean boy group Monsta X. It was released on December 8 in South Korea, and on December 9 and 11 in more than seventy countries worldwide.
