Tom Snyder was the show's first host, followed by Craig Kilborn, Craig Ferguson, and James Corden. The show originated from Television City in Los Angeles.
Television City, alternatively CBS Television City, is an American television studio complex located in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, California, United States. On February 15, 2018, it was announced that the series had been renewed for a second season which premiered on October 12, 2018, on Apple TV. On August 17, 2021, it was announced that the series had been renewed for a fifth season and would be moving to Apple TV+. The fifth season premiered on May 27, 2022.
The 73rd Annual Tony Awards were held on June 9, 2019, to recognize achievement in Broadway productions during the 2018–19 season. The ceremony was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and was broadcast live by CBS. James Corden served as host.
