Valencia is a master-planned community located in the Santa Clarita Valley of Los Angeles County, California. It lies mostly within the city limits of Santa Clarita (see Valencia, Santa Clarita, California), although some parts extend into unincorporated Los Angeles County (see Valencia, California). Valencia is divided into several residential subdivisions, or "villages."

Villages

River Village and Villa Metro were developed by the Newhall Land and Farming Company and have "Valencia" on their entrance signs, however they are east of Valencia proper and often considered part of Saugus. [1] [2]

These are tracts. The Santa Clarita Valley is made up of several communities (Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Newhall, Castaic, Val Verde and Canyon Country). Each of these areas have hundreds of tracts with various floorplans.

Stevenson Ranch is an unincorporated community in the Santa Clarita Valley of Los Angeles County, California. Stevenson Ranch is set in the foothills of the Santa Susana Mountains and lies west of Interstate 5 and the city of Santa Clarita. Stevenson Ranch encompasses about 6.4 square miles (17 km2). About 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) are set aside as parks, recreation areas, and open space. A master-planned community, it was approved by the county in 1987. The population was 17,557 at the time of the 2010 census. For statistical purposes, the Census Bureau has designated it a census-designated place (CDP).

Newhall is the southernmost and oldest constituent community of Santa Clarita, California. Prior to the 1987 consolidation of Canyon Country, Saugus, Newhall, Valencia and other neighboring communities into the city of Santa Clarita, it was an unincorporated area. It was the first permanent town in the Santa Clarita Valley.

The William S. Hart Union High School District is a school district in the Santa Clarita Valley of Los Angeles County, California. It serves all of the valley's high school students and most of its junior high school students. As of 2019-20, the total number of enrolled students was 23,968. The district's superintendent is Mike Kuhlman. The district is named after William S. Hart, one of the first western film stars, who lived in Newhall and was a local benefactor. The region served by the Hart Dustruct is also served by the Sulphur Springs, Saugus, Castaic, and Newhall elementary school districts.

Saugus is a neighborhood in Santa Clarita, California. It was one of four communities that merged in 1987 to create the city of Santa Clarita. Saugus is named after Saugus, Massachusetts, the hometown of Henry Newhall, upon whose land the town was originally built.

The Newhall School District is an elementary school district in the Santa Clarita Valley that serves the Valencia and Newhall communities within the city of Santa Clarita, California, as well as the Stevenson Ranch community in unincorporated Los Angeles County. It currently includes ten schools.

Daily operations and maintenance of the fleet are under contract with MV Transportation. City of Santa Clarita Transit routes connect with services operated by Metro and Metrolink.

Henry Newhall

Henry Mayo Newhall was an American businessman whose extensive land holdings became the Southern California communities of Newhall, Saugus and Valencia, and the city of Santa Clarita.

Newhall Land and Farming Company

The Newhall Land and Farming Company is a land management company based in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California, United States. The company is responsible for the master community planning of Valencia and previously developed other areas such as Canyon Country and Newhall which together with Saugus and Valencia would merge to create the city of Santa Clarita in 1987. The company is also responsible for the management of farm land elsewhere in the state.

Woodbury, Irvine, California

The Tick Fire was a wildfire that burned in Los Angeles County, California. The fire broke out on October 24, 2019, and burned several thousand acres. The fire forced the mass evacuation of 40,000 people from the Santa Clarita valley.

Central Park (Santa Clarita) Municipal park in Santa Clarita, California, United States

Central Park is a large municipal park located near the geographic center of Santa Clarita, California, in the neighborhood of Saugus. The park was developed on 105 acres (42 ha) of land leased by the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency to the City of Santa Clarita. It is accessible via Bouquet Canyon Road, which parallels Bouquet Creek along the northern edge of the park.

Vista Valencia Golf Course is a golf course in the community of Valencia in Santa Clarita, California, United States. It includes two courses, an 18-hole Vista course and a 9-hole Chica course. It is one of five golf courses in the Santa Clarita Valley, and one of three in Valencia and Stevenson Ranch. It is bordered by the subdivisions of Fairways and Lakeshore. The course covers 125 acres and is owned by Vista Valencia LLC. Vista Valencia has been named by The Santa Clarita Valley Signal as the best golf course in the Santa Clarita Valley.
