This is a list players signed to play in the World Series Hockey , which was scheduled to commence play on 17 December 2011 but was later postponed to 29 February 2012.
The players for the eight teams will be finalized 28 November based on the draft system.
The draft consisted of 24 Rounds where a team picked one player in each round. Each Team has a minimum of 22 and a maximum of 25 Players (including the Captain) with a maximum of 6 Non-Indian Players, a minimum of 4 Local Players from their Territory and a minimum of 4 Indian Youth Players. [1]
A second draft was held on 10 February 2012. Among the notable picks, Canadian captain Ken Pereira was chosen by Pune Strykers while Australian Mark Harris and Indian Hamza Mujtaba got selected by Chennai Cheetahs. South African Olympian Clyde Abraham was picked by Mumbai Marines while Gagan Ajit Singh, the ace Indian striker, will make his comeback into hockey with Sher-e-Punjab. [2]
150 Indian players, including all the top players from the current national team have signed on and received advanced payments to play in World Series Hockey. Every player has signed a 3-year contract. Four of these will be captains in the inaugural edition of the tournament. This includes Adrian D'Souza, Arjun Halappa, Prabhjot Singh and Sardar Singh.

He was the first Shiromani Akali Dal Chief minister of Punjab. His ministry fell due to defection of Lachhman Singh Gill, who became the next Chief Minister with the support of the Indian National Congress. He died in an air crash in Delhi on 31 May 1973.
Mouma Das is an Indian table tennis player. Born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, she has represented India in international events since the early 2000s. Das has won multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games including a gold in the Women's Team Competition in 2018. She was awarded the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting honour in 2013 for her contributions to the sport.

He was awarded the Arjuna Award for his achievements. Singh is the brother of Ajit Singh, and the uncle of later Indian international Gagan Ajit Singh. He was born in Gujranwala, Punjab. He was the head coach of the India hockey team at the 1982 and 1986 Hockey World Cup.
Julia Kathrin Marty is a Swiss ice hockey player, currently playing in the Women's League with EV Bomo Thun. She is a former eleven-season member of the Swiss national ice hockey team and served as captain for three seasons, including in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Erica Howe is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. As a member of the gold medal winning squad at the 2010 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship, a hockey card of her was featured in the Upper Deck 2010 World of Sports card series. She was the first goaltender selected in the 2014 CWHL Draft, claimed by the Brampton Thunder. She made her debut with the Canada women's national ice hockey team at the 2014 4 Nations Cup.

The team was owned by Wizcraft International and coached by Roelant Oltmans and Darryl Dsouza. Dhyan Chand National Stadium was the home ground of Delhi Wizards.
Mumbai Marines (MM), initially known as Mumbai Warriors, was a professional field hockey team based in Mumbai, Maharashtra that played in the World Series Hockey. The team was owned by Ashish Bharatram and Harish Thawani. It was coached by Andrew Meredith. Mahindra Hockey Stadium served as the home ground of Mumbai Marines.
Pune Strykers was an Indian professional field hockey team based in Pune, Maharashtra that played in the World Series Hockey. The team was owned by Sai Grace Sports & Events Private Limited. PCMC Hockey Stadium in Pune is the home ground of Pune Strykers.
