Chennai Express is a 2013 Indian masala film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment. It stars Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan with Nikitin Dheer, Sathyaraj, Kamini Kaushal and Lekh Tandon in supporting roles. The film revolves around Rahul Mithaiwala, a businessman who accidentally boards the eponymous train and journeys from Mumbai to Rameswaram with the daughter of an influential crimeboss. [1]

The soundtrack for the film was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, with the background score being composed by Amar Mohile. UTV Motion Pictures came on board as producer and distributor, marking its first active project with Khan after Swades (2004). Chennai Express was released to positive reviews from critics and it broke several box office records in India and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect 1 billion (US$17.07 million) net domestically. At the 59th Filmfare Awards, Chennai Express received 7 nominations, including Best Director (Shetty), Best Actor (Khan) and Best Actress (Padukone). [3] At the 15th IIFA Awards, it received 6 nominations and won 3 awards including Best Actress (Padukone). [4]

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, also simply known as Ram-Leela, is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language romantic tragedy film written and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who also composed its original soundtrack. The film was jointly produced by Bhansali and Eros International's Kishore Lulla and stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles with Priyanka Chopra making a special appearance in the song "Ram Chahe Leela". The supporting cast includes Supriya Pathak, Richa Chadda, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, and Abhimanyu Singh. Based on the tragedy Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Ram-Leela narrates the star-crossed romance between the two eponymous lovers from two gangster families, who fall in love with each other, but are forced to separate due to their families' centuries old rivalry.

Indian actress Deepika Padukone primarily appears in Hindi films. Her first screen appearance was in Himesh Reshammiya's music video "Naam Hai Tera" in 2005. Padukone made her film debut by playing the title role in the Kannada-language film Aishwarya (2006). Her first Hindi film release came the following year with Farah Khan's melodrama Om Shanti Om, in which she played dual roles opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for it. Her sole film role in 2008 was as one of Ranbir Kapoor's love interests in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions banner, the film starred Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, while Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur play supporting roles. The film's music and score is composed by Pritam with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, except for one song written by Kumaar.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela is the soundtrack to the 2013 romantic tragedy film of the same name, directed and co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Bhansali also composed the film's soundtrack, which consists of 11 songs and were written by Siddharth–Garima. The music was influenced by traditional folk music originated from Gujarat and were composed before the film's production. The album was released on 4 October 2013 through the Eros Music label on digital platforms.
