Guatemala's major diplomatic interests are regional security and increasingly, regional development and economic integration.
The Central American Bank for Economic Integration - CABEI was founded in 1960. It is an international multilateral development financial institution. Its resources are invested in projects that foster development to reduce poverty and inequality; strengthen regional integration and the competitive insertion of its member countries in the global economy; providing special attention to environmental sustainability. Its headquarters are in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) and has regional offices in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
The Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés is a multi-purpose stadium in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. It is used mostly for association football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 and is the home of football clubs Motagua and Olimpia. This is one of the oldest stadiums in Honduras and has an important historical role for it, since emblematic matches in the history of Honduran Football have been held in this stadium, as well as concerts and presidential inaugurations.
Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, also known as Xiomara Castro de Zelaya, is a Honduran politician and businesswoman who is the 56th president of Honduras, in office since January 2022. She is the country's first female president, having earlier served as first lady during the presidency of her husband Manuel Zelaya.

Palau–Taiwan relations are the bilateral relations between Palau and Taiwan. Palau maintains an embassy in Taipei and the ROC maintains an embassy in Koror City. Exchanges between the two nations range from agriculture, culture, education, fishery, medical services, tourism and water supply infrastructure. As of 8 January 2024, Palau is one of only 12 United Nations member states to have formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

It ended in 2023 when Honduras shifted diplomatic recognition to the People's Republic of China. Honduras was one of the 14 countries that recognise the ROC.
