Guatemala's major diplomatic interests are regional security and increasingly, regional development and economic integration.
The Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés is a multi-purpose stadium in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. It is used mostly for association football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 and is the home of football clubs Motagua and Olimpia. This is one of the oldest stadiums in Honduras and has an important historical role for it, since emblematic matches in the history of Honduran Football have been held in this stadium, as well as concerts and presidential inaugurations.

In geopolitical terms, Honduras has represented a bulwark against socialist forces in Central America and has a permanent United States military presence. Honduras has also received United States foreign aid. All of these factors have led to a gradual increase over many decades of American immigrants to Honduras.
Honduras–India relations refers to the international relations that exist between Honduras and India. The Ambassador of India in Guatemala City is concurrently accredited to Honduras. India also maintains an Honorary Consul General in Tegucigalpa. Honduras is accredited to India from its embassy in Kuwait City.
