The church was built in 1883 and first opened on 10 November same year. The tower was built in 1919. It was built by artisan Andreas Bentsen.

Old coastal settlements in Høvåg include Ulvøysund, Gamle Hellesund, Skottevik, Kjøbmannsvig and Åkerøyhamn. The village of Høvåg is located midway between the towns of Lillesand and Kristiansand.

Until January 1, 2007 Fjerritslev Municipality was a municipality in the former North Jutland County, on the North Jutlandic Island, bordering the Limfjord to the south and North Sea to the north. The municipality covered an area of 289.65 km2, and had a total population of 8,397 (2006). Its last mayor was Otto Kjær Larsen, a member of the Venstre political party.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hustad Church</span> Church in Trøndelag, Norway

Hustad Church is a preserved former parish church of the Church of Norway in Inderøy municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located just north of the village of Gangstadhaugen. It is the former main church for the Sandvollan parish which is part of the Stiklestad prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white Romanesque, stone church was built in a long church style around the year 1150. The church seats about 150 people. In 1887, the new Heggstad Church replaced this church. At that time, this church was closed and sold to the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments to be maintained as a museum. The church is no longer regularly used, but it is used for special occasions.

Gudhjem Church is the parish church of Gudhjem on the north coast of the Danish island of Bornholm. Completed in 1893, it replaces the now ruined St Anne's Chapel.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Vester Egesborg Church</span> Church in Næstved, Denmark

Vester Egesborg Church is located in Næstved Municipality of Region Zealand, Denmark. It was built in 1250–1300, with the addition of the tower and vestry around 1500. The choir was rebuilt at the end of the 18th century. The pulpit and altarpiece were carved around the middle of the 17th century by Abel Schrøder in the auricular style. The wrought iron baptismal font from the 1670s bears the arms of Niels Trolle and Helle Rosenkrantz. A farmer, John Jensen, believed that a church should also have a ship, so with his wife, he bequeathed money for that purpose; Neptunus hangs from the ceiling of the church.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Vester Egede Church</span> Church

Vester Egede Church is a Danish parish church in the Diocese of Roskilde, Faxe Municipality in Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand. It is located some 10 km (6.2 mi) due west of Faxe. Today's building dates from 1876 although there is evidence of an earlier church on the site, probably built during the Romanesque period.

Birkerød Church is a church at Birkerød, Rudersdal Municipality, Greater Copenhagen, Denmark. It is one of two churches in the parish of Birkerød, the other being Høsterkøb Church in Høsterkøb which dates to 1908. Birkerød Church is particularly noted for its Gothic frescoes (kalkmalerier).
