The Chinese Communist Party and its eight subservient United Front political parties participate in the CPPCC. Besides political parties, the CPPCC also invites of representatives from various sectors of society.

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is a political advisory body in the People's Republic of China and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s united front system. Its members advise and put proposals for political and social issues to government bodies. However, the CPPCC is a body without real legislative power. While consultation does take place, it is supervised and directed by the CCP.
Wang Dongming is a Chinese politician who has served since 2018 as the Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. Originally from Liaoning province, Wang served as the chief of the General Office of the Central Institutional Organization Commission between 2007 and 2012, and the Communist Party Secretary of Sichuan province between 2012 and 2018.

Yan Dakai was a People's Republic of China politician. He was born in Laoting County, Hebei. He was CPPCC Committee Chairman of his home province (1964–1967) and Tianjin (1979–1980). He was a delegate to the 4th National People's Congress and 5th National People's Congress and a member of the Central Advisory Commission.
Huang Yuejin (Chinese: 黄跃金; pinyin: Huáng Yuèjīn; born April 1953) is a prominent member of the Chinese Communist Party from Fengcheng, Liaoning. He has a bachelor's degree in Construction Materials from Tongji University.
Yao Zhongmin is a Chinese economist who served as chairman of the board of supervisors at China Development Bank (CDB) from 2008 to 2013. He had also served as deputy chief of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) committee at the CDB and vice governor of the bank. In June 2016 he was put under investigation for alleged "serious violations of discipline" by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI). He was soon removed from membership of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In September 2016 he had been expelled from the CCP and removed from public office. In October 2016 the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced that authorities were investigating accusations of corruption against him. In August 2017, he was sentenced to 14 years for accepting bribes by the Intermediate People's Court of Baoding City.
Shen Deyong is a Chinese politician and judge who served as the chairperson of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). At the height of his political career, he served as executive vice-president of the Supreme People's Court, the highest level of China's judiciary. Shen formally resigned from the government in June 2018, which was a shock to the news media.
