Sahiwal, formerly known as Montgomery, is a city in Punjab, Pakistan. It is the 21st largest city of Pakistan by population and the administrative capital of both Sahiwal District and Sahiwal Division. Sahiwal is approximately 180 km from the major city Lahore and 100 km from Faisalabad and lies between Lahore and Multan. Sahiwal is approximately 152 meters above the sea level.

Thatha Shamsa Chattha (Urdu is a small village in Hafizabad District of Punjab, Pakistan. It is named after Jatt Chattha Tribe forefather Shamsa Chattha, Thatha Shamsa means the town of Shamsa. The descendants of Shamsa,, own the land in the adjoining areas and are called "Zamindars" and most of them still to date rely on fulfilling the life needs from farming. This village is located at 32° 15' 50N,73° 41' 40E with an altitude of 206 meters. It is the oldest village which is believed to be pre-dated to the Mughal era.

Sahiwal Tehsil, is a subdivision (Tehsil) of Sargodha District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is approx. 40 km from Sargodha at main Sargodha-Multan highway. It is administratively subdivided into 14 Union Councils, two of which form the Tehsil capital Sahiwal. The population of the city is 236,000 most being Muslim and speak the Punjabi language. Jehlum River passes nearby.
Divisional Public Schools and Colleges, established in 1963, is a series of mega-schools at the division level in Punjab, Pakistan. The series consists of one of the largest institutions providing education at school level in Pakistan. They are selective schools. The scheme of Divisional Public Schools was initiated in 1958–59, when the “Sharif Commission”, a special commission on national education for secondary education submitted detailed recommendations on primary through post-graduate education.
