In India, the Council of Architecture regulates the architectural education and maintains a registry of higher education institutions approved to offer 5-year long Bachelor of Architecture and 2-year long Master of Architecture degrees. [38] [39] [40] [41] Bachelor of Architecture degree is required for registration as an architect with the Council of Architecture, which also regulates the practice of architecture. Master of Architecture is often required to teaching architecture at the collegiate level. [40] [42] [41]

The University of Santiago, Chile (Usach) is one of the oldest public universities in Chile. The institution was born as Escuela de Artes y Oficios in 1849 by Ignacy Domeyko, under the government of Manuel Bulnes. It became Universidad Técnica del Estado in 1947, with various campuses throughout the country. In 1981, as a consequence of a reform on higher education under the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, it became what is now known as Universidad de Santiago de Chile, with all activities centered in a single 340,000 m2 campus in the capital Santiago.

A spaghetti bridge is an architectural model of a bridge, made of uncooked spaghetti or other hard, dry, straight noodles. Bridges are constructed for both educational experiments and competitions. The aim is usually to construct a bridge with a specific quantity of materials over a specific span, that can sustain a load. In competitions, the bridge that can hold the greatest load for a short period of time wins the contest. There are many contests around the world, usually held by schools and colleges.
Vera Martha Winitzky de Spinadel was an Argentine mathematician. She was the first woman to gain a PhD in mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1958. Between 2010 and 2017, she was full Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the University of Buenos Aires. In 1995, she was named Director of the Centre of Mathematics and Design. In April 2005 she inaugurated the Laboratory of Mathematics & Design, University Campus in Buenos Aires. From 1998 to her death she was the President of the International Mathematics and Design Association, which organizes international congresses every 3 years and publishes a Journal of Mathematics & Design. She was the author of more than 10 books and published more than 100 research papers. Spinadel was a leader in the field of metallic mean and in the development of the classical Golden Ratio and got wide international recognition.
