The School of Engineering offers the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in chemical engineering, civil and biosystems engineering, electrical, electronic and computer engineering, industrial and systems engineering, materials science and metallurgical engineering, mechanical and aeronautical engineering, mining engineering and the postgraduate only engineering and technology management programmes. [11] [12]
The School for the Built Environment offers the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in architecture, landscape architecture, interior Architecture, quantity surveying, construction management, and town and regional Planning. [11]
The School of Information Technology offers the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of computer science, informatics and information science. [11]
The Graduate School of Technology Management offers the postgraduate programmes in the fields of technology, management, project management, engineering management, life cycle managementand asset management. [13] [14]
Accreditation and affiliations
Engineering programmes are accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) [11] and recognised internationally through the Washington Accord in Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, China, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. [15]
The CDIO Initiative (CDIO is an initialism for Conceive — Design — Implement — Operate) is an innovative educational framework for producing the next generation of engineers. The framework provides students with an education stressing engineering fundamentals set in the context of Conceiving — Designing — Implementing — Operating real-world systems and products. Throughout the world, CDIO Initiative collaborators have adopted CDIO as the framework of their curricular planning and outcome-based assessment.
CDIO was formally founded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology [16] in the late 1990s. In 2000 it became an international collaboration, with universities around the world adopting the same framework. [17] The collaborators maintain a dialogue about what works and what doesn't and continue to refine the project. Determining additional members of the collaboration is a selective process managed a Council comprising original members and early adopters. [18]
The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology is a non-profit private university in Sri Lanka specialising in technology and management. It has two campuses and four regional centres, the main campus being based in Malabe and a Metropolitan Campus in Colombo. SLIIT is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and International Association of Universities, and has several partnerships with international universities.
Tshwane University of Technology is a higher education institution in South Africa that came into being through a merger of three technikons — Technikon Northern Gauteng, Technikon North-West and Technikon Pretoria.
Damelin is a private college founded by Benjamin Damelin in 1943. Damelin has 17 campuses, and is owned by Educor group. Damelin offers degrees, diplomas and other higher qualifications, but is considered a college instead of a university due to the regulations for tertiary institutions in South Africa. Damelin is the oldest and most profitable education subsidiary owned by Educor. By November 2012, over one million students had graduated from Damelin.
Central University of Technology, Free State or CUT is a University of Technology in Bloemfontein in the Free State province of South Africa. It was established in 1981 as "Technikon Free State". As part of the South African government's restructuring of tertiary education for the new millennium it was promoted to university of technology status.

Rajagiri is a part of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), an indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation founded in 1831. It is located in Rajagiri Valley, Kakkanad, Kochi. It was acquired after Indian independence and developed by the Sacred Heart province.

The Faculty of Veterinary Science is a faculty of the University of Pretoria. Founded in 1920, it is the second oldest veterinary faculty in Africa. With the exception of the faculties in Khartoum, and Cairo, all the other African faculties were established after 1960. It is the only one of its kind in South Africa and is one of 33 veterinary faculties in Africa.
The University of Pretoria Faculty of Law was established in 1908 and consists of six academic departments, six centres, two law clinics and its own publishing house, the Pretoria University Law Press (PULP). This faculty ranked best in Africa for the fourth year in a row with leading Departments of Jurisprudence; Mercantile Law; Private Law; Procedural Law; Public Law; and Centre for Human Rights. The faculty offers the undergraduate LLB degree, and postgraduates LLM/MPhil and LLD/PhD degrees.
Gordon Institute of Business Science is a business school in South Africa and an affiliate of the University of Pretoria. It is located in the heart of Illovo, Johannesburg, close to the Sandton financial and commercial business hub. GIBS is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and internationally by Association of MBAs (AMBA).
The University of Pretoria is a multi-campus public research university in Pretoria, the administrative and de facto capital of South Africa. The university was established in 1908 as the Pretoria campus of the Johannesburg-based Transvaal University College and is the fourth South African institution in continuous operation to be awarded university status. The university has grown from the original 32 students in a single late Victorian house to approximately 53,000 in 2019. The university was built on seven suburban campuses on 1,190 hectares.
The Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition is a moot court competition on international human rights law. In 2009, the University of Pretoria Faculty of Law's Centre for Human Rights, with the assistance of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, organised the inaugural edition. Previously, the oral rounds of the competition were held annually in Pretoria, the administrative and de facto capital of South Africa. In more recent years, the competition has been held in Geneva, where the United Nations is headquartered.
More than pure aspirations, human rights are real rights that can be tested in courts of law. The World Human Rights Moot Court Competition is an exciting way for students from around the world to deepen their knowledge of rights and learn from each other.
Gerhard Jacobus van den Heever is a South African-born Japanese rugby union player for the Sunwolves in Super Rugby and Kubota Spears in the Top League. His regular playing position is as a wing.
Adriaan Nicolaas Petrus Pelzer was a South African Afrikaans academic, historian, author and Professor at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He retired as vice rector and acting rector in 1980 from the University of Pretoria. Among books published are the following "The Afrikaner-Broederbond: First 50 Years (1980)" and "Verwoerd Speaks Speeches 1948–1966 (1966)". He was also member of the "National Monuments Council" and in 1978 received the Laureate Award from the University of Pretoria. The Laureate Award is the highest award granted by the University of Pretoria. From 1965 to 1978 he was vice-president and member of the executive committee of Northern-Transvaal Rugby Union, and lifelong member from 1979.
Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, formerly known as Vel Tech Dr. RR & Dr.SR University and commonly referred to as Vel Tech, is a private institute located in Avadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Marwadi University (MU) is a private university located in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. It was established on 9 May 2016 by the Marwadi Education Foundation through The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2016. As of 2017, it offers 54 different courses. It is graded A+ by NAAC.
