The Le Méridien Taichung is a 22-storey hotel located in Central District, Taichung City, Taiwan. It is the 17th tallest building in Taiwan and the third tallest building in the city of Taichung. The hotel closed due to a fire in 2005. It reopened on October 30, 2022, following major renovations.

The architecture of Taiwan can be traced back to stilt housing of the aborigines in prehistoric times; to the building of fortresses and churches in the north and south used to colonize and convert the inhabitants during the Dutch and Spanish period; the Tungning period when Taiwan was a base of anti-Qing sentiment and Minnan-style architecture was introduced; in Qing dynasty period, a mix of Chinese and Western architecture appeared and artillery battery flourished during Qing's Self-Strengthening Movement; During the Japanese rule of Taiwan, the Minnan, Japanese and Western culture were main influencers in architectural designs and saw the introduction and use of reinforced concrete. Due to excessive Westernization as a colony, after the retrocession of Taiwan to the Republic of China in 1945 from Japan at the end of World War II, Chinese classical style became popular and entered into international mainstream as a postmodern design style. Today, Taiwanese architecture has undergone much diversification, every style of architecture can be seen.
The Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu is skyscraper hotel completed in 2001 in East District, Hsinchu, Taiwan. The architectural height of the building is 130 m (430 ft), with a floor area of 76,908 m2 (827,830 sq ft), and it comprises 24 floors above ground and four basement levels. When the building was completed in 2001, it was the tallest building in Hsinchu. It held the title for 15 years before being surpassed by CIWC Tower in 2016.

The building has a floor area of 257,007.74 m2 (2,766,408.3 sq ft), and it comprises 31 floors above ground and six basement levels. The building is phase one of the E SKY LAND complex. Operated by Marriott Hotels & Resorts, the hotel has started trial operations on December 25, 2020 and will start operating fully on April 3, 2021.

The hotel has 190 rooms and suites and has facilities such as a fitness center, indoor swimming pool, game room and gift shop. The hotel is a franchise of Sheraton Hotels and Resorts and is the fourth Sheraton hotel to open in Taiwan, after Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel, Sheraton Hsinchu Hotel and Sheraton Taitung Hotel.
