In Punjab the courses of Law are offered by various private and government colleges and universities around fifty two Legal Education Centres. [1] These courses are being taught in various universities and colleges in India. One can pursue his or her study in various law courses such as LL.B, integrated LL.B, LL.M and doctoral courses. LLB is an undergraduate degree that covers core specializations and mainly focuses on Criminal Law, Contract Law, Constitutional/Administrative Law, Equity and Trusts, land Law, Tort Law. Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) is a public law school and a National Law University in Patna, Bihar, India. Government Law College Thrissur, also known as Thrissur Law College, is situated in Ayyanthole. It is the fourth Government law college in Kerala and is owned by the Government of Kerala and affiliated to University of Calicut. The college caters to the needs of Thrissur District, Palakkad District and Malappuram District of Kerala. The College was started in the year 1992. Approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, the college offers three-year undergraduate and five-year integrated programs in the field of law and postgraduate degree also. The first batch of Law Graduates came out in 1993-94 academic year.
University School of Law & Legal Studies is one of the constituent schools of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Established in 2001, it is an institution dedicated to law and was the first state government law school in Delhi. It is constantly rated in the top 15 government law schools in India offering a 5 year course. It is also rated in the top 5 law schools in Delhi NCR. The acceptance rate of USLLS is incredibly low, given the less number of seats and large number of applicants. USLLS was also ranked 12 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
