Chin Han, is a Taiwanese actor whose birth name is Sun Siang-chong (孫祥鐘), and got his first stage name Kang Kai (康凱) from Li Han-Hsiang (李翰祥) at the beginning of his acting career. He changed his stage name to Sun Ge (孫戈) during the shooting of Five Brothers from Tangshan. It was director Yao Feng-Pan (姚鳳磐) who gave him the stage name Chin Han, which he kept ever since. In Chin’s long acting career, he is best known for starring in literary romantic (愛情文藝) films and TV series, adaptations from novels by Qiong Yao (瓊瑤) and other writers in the 1970s and 1980s. <i>General Baokeng</i>

General Baokeng, formerly known as 'General Shen Zi Keng ', was a decorative piece in a Banqiao District, New Taipei City restaurant. Later, Mr Liu, a removal company owner, didn't want to discard it as waste and moved it to his hometown's vacant lot in Shezai Keng, Hu Shan Li, Douliu City, Yunlin County. Subsequently, according to the local deity's indications, the statue was said to be possessed by the spirit of a Singaporean soldier who had died in a military training accident as part of Project Starlight between Taiwan and Singapore. The local residents worshipped the statue as a god of the local faith and as a Wan Ying Gong, a type of deity worshipped by the Hushan Dam construction workers.

Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai has been actively participating in charitable activities, providing assistance through donations and other means whenever disasters occur in her home country and neighboring countries. She has also been enthusiastic about participating in public interest activities, covering children's rights, elder rights, women's rights, LGBT rights, disability rights, animal rights, public health and safety, etc.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Chang Yuan-Chih</span> Taiwanese climber (1988–2024)

Chang Yuan-Chih was a Taiwanese professional mountaineer, mountain guide and manager of Chiaming Mountain House. He pioneered many technical climbing and mountain exploration routes in Taiwan, and co-sponsored the first winter climb of K2, the world's second-highest peak. He climbed Broad Peak at the age of 25, becoming the second youngest climber in Taiwan to climb an 8,000-meter peak.
