This is a list of the number-one songs of 2017 in Mexico. The airplay chart rankings are published by Monitor Latino, based on airplay across radio stations in Mexico using the Radio Tracking Data, LLC in real time. [1] [2] Charts are ranked from Monday to Sunday. Besides the General chart, Monitor Latino also publishes "Pop", "Popular" (Regional Mexican) and "Anglo" charts.

The streaming charts are published weekly by AMPROFON (Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas).

Chart history (Airplay)

General

In 2017, thirteen songs reached number one on the General chart (fifteen if the remix versions of "Despacito" and "Mi gente" are counted as separate songs). Of these, eleven songs were entirely or mostly in Spanish, and two were primarily in English. Nine acts achieved their first number-one song in Mexico: Clean Bandit, Sean Paul, Anne-Marie, Christian Nodal, Willy William, Beyoncé, Nicky Jam, Camila Cabello, Young Thug and Nego do Borel.

"Corazón" by Maluma ft. Nego do Borel was the first No. 1 song to feature Portuguese lyrics since the General chart was founded.

"Despacito" by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee was the best performing song of the year. [3]

"Desde Esa Noche" is a Latin pop and reggaeton song, with banda and norteño influences, as well as mariachi horns and cumbian accordion. It has received mostly positive reviews and has become a commercial success all over Latin America and the United States, where it peaked at number 16 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and number 4 on the Latin Pop Songs chart, published by Billboard.

Piso 21 Colombian Latin pop group

Piso 21 is a Colombian Latin pop group. Their singles "Me Llamas", "Besándote" and "Déjala Que Vuelva" were hits in their home country, Latin America and Spain.

Latin American boy band CNCO has released three studio albums, one extended play, twenty-four singles, including seven as a featured artist, and six promotional singles. The group released their debut single "Tan Fácil" in January 2016, which peaked at number 23 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. Later in May, they released "Quisiera", which reached number 29 on the chart. The band released their anticipated debut album, Primera Cita, on August 26 of the same year, which achieved a Gold certification in the U.S. The group gained international recognition after the release of their third single "Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos)". It has been certified 5× platinum in the Latin field of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and its video reached over 1 billion views in less than a year, making them the first boyband to achieve the feat.

"Felices los 4" is a song by Colombian singer Maluma from his third studio album, F.A.M.E. (2018). It was released by Sony Music Latin on 21 April 2017. The track was written by Maluma, Servando Primera, Mario Cáceres and Miky La Sensa, and produced by Rude Boyz. A salsa version of the song featuring American singer Marc Anthony and produced by Sergio George was released on 7 July 2017. "Felices los 4" became Maluma's first single as lead artist to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it charted for 20 weeks and peaked at number 48.

"Mi Gente" is a song recorded by Colombian singer J Balvin and French singer and producer Willy William. It was released on 30 June 2017 through Scorpio Music and Universal Music Latin. It is a remake of Willy William's song "Voodoo Song" which is an original French song by Willy William that went viral on Facebook in 2016 and released one year after. The single was serviced to United States contemporary hit radio on 18 July 2017. A remix version featuring Beyoncé was released on 28 September 2017. J Balvin and Willy William released six more "Mi Gente" remixes on 20 October 2017 with Steve Aoki, Alesso, Cedric Gervais, Dillon Francis, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and Henry Fong.

Christian Nodal Mexican singer-songwriter

Christian Jesus González Nodal is a Mexican singer born and raised in Sonora, Mexico. His debut studio album, Me Dejé Llevar (2017), was met with critical acclaim and success. Nodal has won three Latin Grammy Awards, a Lo Nuestro Award, two Billboard Latin Music Awards, and a Latin American Music Award.

The song was released as a single for digital download and streaming by Sony Music Latin on April 13, 2021, as the lead single from the album. A Spanish language vallenato and pop song, it is a declaration of love for Puerto Rico. The track received widely positive reviews from music critics, who complimented its fusion of sounds.
