The following is a list of professional wrestling attendance records in Puerto Rico. The list is dominated by Puerto Rico's oldest promotion, the World Wrestling Council, which has controlled the industry in the country since its founding in 1973. It was part of the National Wrestling Alliance from 1979 to 1986 and is the last remaining North American member of the original NWA territory system.
According to this list, 6 events are from WWC's annual Aniversario supercard, which in the late-1980s had been held exclusively at the Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium which typically has a seating capacity of at least 22,000 people or more. Only ten of the attendances listed are non-WWC events, with eight being from the U.S.-based World Wrestling Entertainment including a co-promotional effort with IWA Puerto Rico in 1999. WWE's presence on the island has been gradually increasing since holding its New Year's Revolution pay-per-view (PPV) event in 2005. All but nine of the events have been held in the capital city of San Juan, while seven have been held in Bayamón and two in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Timothy Alan Smith was an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring names Rex King and Timothy Well. Much of his career was spent wrestling as a tag team with Steve Doll throughout his career. While in WWF, they were known as Well Dunn.
The WWC Puerto Rico Championship is the secondary professional wrestling championship that is defended by the World Wrestling Council based in Puerto Rico. The title was created in January 1974 and, as its name suggests, is defended exclusively within Puerto Rico. Overall, the title has been possessed by seventy-five different wrestlers throughout the title's existence. The first champion was José Miguel Pérez, who was billed as champion upon the title's creation. He also holds the longest reign, at 426 days. Invader I holds the record for most reigns at 12.
The WWC World Tag Team Championship is the tag team title contested for in the Puerto Rican professional wrestling promotion, the World Wrestling Council.
The WWC Junior Heavyweight Championship is a championship contested for in the Puerto Rican professional wrestling promotion, the World Wrestling Council. While weight classes are generally not strictly adhered to in professional wrestling today, this particular championship is usually competed for by wrestlers weighing less than 230 lbs.
Rocky Iaukea is a retired American professional wrestler, known by his ringname Prince Iaukea, who competed in the Pacific Northwest and Southeastern United States with the National Wrestling Alliance during the 1980s, and in Japan during the early 1990s. From 1987 to 1990, he wrestled as Abbuda Dein in Pacific Northwest Wrestling winning the NWA Pacific Northwest Television Championship twice and the NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship three times with Mike Miller and The Grappler. A second-generation wrestler, he is the son of Curtis Iaukea and a cousin of Maunakea Mossman.
Gordon Peter Scozzari was an American professional wrestling promoter, commentator, ring announcer, television producer, restaurateur, and legal librarian. He was best known as founder of the short-lived American Wrestling Federation. It was one of several start-up promotions that appeared across the U.S. in the early 1990s, many with the intention of becoming a third national promotion along with World Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation. Though the AWF was never promoted as such, it was among the first of these companies to utilize a competitive talent roster. The initial AWF television tapings boasted some of the top NWA and WWF stars of the 1980s wrestling boom, as well as top-level talent from All-Japan Pro Wrestling, the World Wrestling Council, and the U.S. independent circuit. Serious production problems arose during the tapings, however, ultimately forcing Scozzari to close the promotion in 1992. He continued working in pro wrestling as a booker-promoter in the Northeastern U.S., Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom before leaving the industry in 2000.
This led to a show on June 9, 1979, which was the first show in Puerto Rico to legitimately draw more than 20,000 fans, setting what, at the time, was Puerto Rico's attendance and gate record (it was broken several years late for the Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen program with Carlos Colon & Abdullah the Butcher) with a sellout for a match billed as "Revenge of the Century" where Colon & Jose Rivera beat Mantell & Laine after a big angle set the match.
Among other stadium shows during that run were a July 28 show with Colon & Rivera & Invader I vs. Mantell & Laine & Dick Steinborn, Colon & Invader I vs. Mantell & Laine on July 31, and a crowd of 18,000 on August 5 at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan where they lost their tag team titles to the Invaders which was actually the semifinal to a Colon vs. Pampero Firpo main event.
Rematches the next two Saturdays also drew over 15,000 each.
The Colon vs. Invader main event last week in Bayamon drew 14,000 fans.
The territory really popped for a show on May 5, 1979, which sold out the Roberto Clemente Coliseum with 10,000 people, in advance. In that era, that was unheard of because WWC was a walk-up business. They were usually pretty good at guessing the house and attendance the day of the show, by multiplying the advance times six.
Not all historical records are clear from this period, but among the biggest crowds at the stadium was a May 19, 1979, show where Mantell & Laine regained the titles from Colon & Castillo.
The Colon vs. Invader main event last week in Bayamon drew 14,000 fans.
