Live at the Marquee (known in Japan as simply Live) is a live album by Gary Moore, recorded over two nights in 1980 at the Marquee Club in London. For the recording, Moore enlisted former Lone Star frontman, Kenny Driscoll to provide lead vocals (Driscoll's replacement in Lone Star, John Sloman, would later perform with Moore), Andy Pyle of The Kinks fame to play bass, former Black Oak Arkansas and Pat Travers drummer Tommy Aldridge, and Moore's former Colosseum II bandmate, keyboardist Don Airey, who would go on to contribute to many of Moore's later solo works.

The Marquee Club was a music venue first located at 165 Oxford Street, London, England when it opened in 1958 with a range of jazz and skiffle acts. Its most famous period was from 1964 to 1988 at 90 Wardour Street in Soho, and it finally closed when at 105 Charing Cross Road in 1996, though the name has been revived unsuccessfully three times in the 21st century. It was always a small and relatively cheap club, located in the heart of the music industry in London's West End, and used to launch the careers of generations of rock acts.
Lone Star were a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff, Wales in 1975. They released two albums on CBS Records before splitting up in 1978.

The performance mainly showcases material from Moore's 1979 solo album Back on the Streets and his ill-fated G-Force project, with two songs being from Dirty Fingers , and the remaining track, "Dallas Warhead" being an original composition, which incorporates a drum solo from Aldridge.
Back on the Streets is an album by Northern Irish blues-rock guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1978, and his first authentic solo record. Thin Lizzy bassist/vocalist Phil Lynott and drummer Brian Downey appear on four songs, including "Don't Believe A Word" and the UK top 10 single "Parisienne Walkways". On the album's sleeve, Moore is depicted leaving notorious prison Wormwood Scrubs in the Inner London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in a photograph by Chalkie Davies.
Dirty Fingers is the third solo studio album by Irish guitarist Gary Moore. It was recorded in 1981, shortly after Moore disbanded his G-Force project, but was not released until 1983, and even then only in Japan, where Moore was very popular. It finally saw a European release in 1984.
This album was first released in Japan in 1983 along with the Dirty Fingers album by Sony Records who bought the copyright from Jet Records. There have been several subsequent releases "licensed" by Jet Records. On 23 October 2000, Sanctuary Records released a remastered CD version, containing no additional material.
