Recording sessions took place live at several concerts at the London Palladium in London, England, in October 1976, with the exception of the hit single "Got to Give It Up", which was recorded at Gaye's Los Angeles studio Marvin's Room on January 31, 1977. Perry Como's Christmas Concert is a 1994 live album by Perry Como. It was Como's final recording before his death in 2001. Taped live at the Point Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, before an audience of 4,500, including Irish President Mary Robinson, it was also issued on videotape and aired on PBS. The videotape of the concert shows a man who appears frail and unwell. Como reportedly was suffering from the flu and struggled to perform, losing his voice at one point during the concert. The finished version of the concert is less than 90 minutes long; the recording took more than four hours to complete. Despite it all, Como managed to complete his last recorded performance with dignity and professionalism, earning him the applause of his audience. Como apologized to his audience for a performance he felt was not up to his usual standards.

World Athletics Relays

The World Athletics Relays, known as the IAAF World Relays until 2019, is an international biennial track and field sporting event where teams from around the world compete in relay races, some of which are not part of the standard Olympic programme. The first three editions were set to take place in Nassau, Bahamas at the Thomas Robinson Stadium in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Originally intended as an annual event, it was later decided to happen every odd year, the same as the IAAF World Championships in Athletics for which it serves as a qualification stage.
