Liverpool Coach Station (also known as Norton Street Coach Station) was a major coach station in Liverpool, England which offered services to 122 destinations throughout the United Kingdom provided by National Express. It opened in November 1994 and was closed on 14 January 2016.

National Express is an intercity and InterRegional coach operator providing services throughout Great Britain. It is a subsidiary of National Express. Most services are subcontracted to local coach companies. The company's head office is in offices above the Birmingham Coach Station.
The coach station opened in November 1994 with access to 35 destinations. It celebrated its 20th anniversary on 20 November 2014 with passengers at the coach station treated to a glimpse of the National Express Leyland Leopard coach which ran the first coach service from the station in 1994. [1]
The Leyland Leopard was a mid-engined single-decker bus and single-decker coach chassis manufactured by Leyland between 1959 and 1982.
In December 2015 it was announced that the coach station would close with the last coach departing on 14 January 2016 with all services relocating to the Liverpool One bus station. [2]
Liverpool One Bus Station is located in Canning Place, Liverpool, England. Formerly known as Paradise Street Interchange, it was situated on Paradise Street close to Lord Street with access from the nearby Liverpool One shopping centre. It was re-built in November 2005 as part of the Liverpool Paradise Street re-development, and rebranded in September 2009.

Newton-le-Willows railway station is a railway station in the town of Newton-le-Willows, in the north-west of England, and at the edge of the Merseytravel region. The Plaxton Elite is a coach body unveiled at the Euro Bus Expo at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham in November 2008 by the British coach manufacturer Plaxton. It is primarily targeted at the premium touring market. It went into production in late 2008. The vehicles are easily identifiable due to their Boeing 747-like curved roof at the front end. Elites on scheduled express routes have a low-level destination board, resulting in a larger front window than most comparable coaches.

The station is on the West of England Main Line between Whimple and Pinhoe stations, 166 miles 15 chains (267.5 km) down the line from London Waterloo. It is the newest station on the line, having opened in December 2015.
