London, Minnesota is an abandoned ghost town located "along an old back road leading from the village of Finland back towards Route 61 and the shores of Lake Superior, about 75 miles northeast of Duluth." [1]

The Kawishiwi Field Laboratory, in Superior National Forest near Ely, Minnesota, usually known as K-Lab, hosted one of the longest running wolf population studies in the United States. It was designed by Forest Service architects following principles laid out by national Forest Service consulting architect W. Ellis Groben. It was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It served as the Halfway Ranger Station of the United States Forest Service until the 1960s and has since been used by other organizations, including the United States Geological Service and the International Wolf Center.

Gooseberry River is a 23-mile stream in Lake County, Minnesota, USA, draining into Lake Superior. It is known for its waterfalls, near its mouth in Gooseberry Falls State Park. The Gooseberry, like many of its neighboring streams, has an irregular discharge highly dependent on runoff from rain and snow melt. The region around the river was heavily forested and much logging took place during the early 20th century. The forest has since regrown and the falls and mouth of the river are now a thriving tourist destination.

The Flask is a Grade II listed public house at 74–76 Highgate West Hill, Highgate, London. According to the 1936 Survey of London, a pub known as The Flask has stood on this spot since "at least as early as 1663". The present buildings probably date from the early 18th century, and were partially rebuilt in about 1767 by William Carpenter. A Manorial court met there in the eighteenth century. The Flask is currently owned and operated by the London-based Fuller's.
