It includes the Old Faithful Inn, designed by Robert Reamer and is itself a National Historic Landmark, the upper and lower Hamilton's Stores, the Old Faithful Lodge, designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood, the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, and a variety of supporting buildings. The Old Faithful Historic District itself lies on the 140-mile Grand Loop Road Historic District.

The Town Farms Inn is a historic poor farm on Silver Street at River Road in Middletown, Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The poor farm provided employment and food for indigent people.
Ruddell General Store, also known as the Country Store Museum, is a historic general store building located at Glenville, Gilmer County, West Virginia. It was built in 1890, and is a two-story, two-bay, commercial building measuring 30 feet by 65 feet. The first story storefront is original material and design. It was occupied by a retail store until the 1970s, after which it was acquired by the West Virginia State Folk Festival, Inc., and open as the Country Store Museum.
Inn at Fowlerstown, also known as Drover's Inn, is a historic hotel located near Wellsburg in Brooke County, West Virginia, United States. The inn was built between 1848 and 1851, and is a 2½-story brick building in the Greek Revival style. The property also includes a two-story log house (1820) and frame cottage that pre-date the inn. Contributing outbuildings are a small clapboard well house, chicken coop, and privy. Before 1938, the inn housed a general store and post office that served the small village of Fowlerstown. The village grew up around along Washington Pike at the grist mill established by William Fowler.
Halfway House, also known as the Tyree Tavern, is a historic inn and tavern located at Ansted, Fayette County, West Virginia. It is a two-story, log and frame building with a gable roof measuring 50 feet long and 20 feet deep. The original log section was built prior to 1810. It was expanded to its present configuration about 1827. It served as a stage coach stop on the James River and Kanawha Turnpike. Notable guests included Daniel Webster, Henry Clay, and John Breckenridge. It also was headquarters of the Chicago Gray Dragoons during the American Civil War. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

It measures approximately 40 feet long and 30 feet deep. It served as a stage coach stop on the James River and Kanawha Turnpike.
Glen Ferris Inn, also known as Stockton's Inn, Stockton's Tavern, and Hawkins's Hotel, is a historic hotel located on the bank of the Kanawha River overlooking Kanawha Falls at Glen Ferris, Fayette County, West Virginia. It may have been built as early as 1815. It is a "T"-shaped brick building in two sections. One section is a three-story, painted brick dwelling. The second is a two-story, red brick wing measuring 140 feet by 40 feet. The building features a wraparound porch supported by 13 stuccoed brick columns. In the 19th century, the building was a stagecoach stop and served as a Union quartermaster's depot during the American Civil War. In the first half of the 20th century, it housed managers, supervisors, and workers involved in developing the area's manufacturing and hydro-electric capacity.
Robert C. Woods House, also known as the Jacob S. Rhodes House, is a historic home located at Wheeling in Ohio County, West Virginia, United States. It was built between 1839 and 1845, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, 13-room brick dwelling, with an Italianate-style facade. It measures 32 feet by 90 feet, with a front block 45 feet deep and rear wing of 45 feet. The front facade features curved cast-iron lintels.
The Thornton Village Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Thornbury Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Situated in the crossroads at the intersection of Glen Mills and Thornton Roads in the village of Thornton, this district includes thirteen contributing buildings that were built between 1750 and 1855, some of which were created in the Federal style.
Skinner Tavern, also known as Skinner's Inn, Halfway Hotel, Western Inn, and Geyer Hotel, is an historic inn and tavern that is located in Letterkenny Township in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Its original section was built between 1788 and 1792.
The historic home listed as Lewis Farm, also known as The Farm and John A. G. Davis Farm, is located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1826, and is a two-story brick dwelling with a low hipped roof and two large chimneys. On the front facade is a Tuscan order portico with a terrace above. The house was built by individuals who worked with Thomas Jefferson on building the University of Virginia. Its builder, John A. G. Davis, was law professor at the University of Virginia and was shot and killed outside Pavilion X by a student in 1840. During the American Civil War, Brigadier General George Armstrong Custer set up temporary headquarters at the house where he remained for three days.
The Guilford Country Store is located at 475 Coolidge Highway in Guilford, Vermont, in the 1817 Broad Brook House, one of the oldest surviving tavern houses in the state, which has been in continuous use as a general store since 1936. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
The Progressive Market is a historic commercial building at 63 South Main Street in White River Junction, Vermont. Built in 1922, it is an example of an increasingly rare type of building in Vermont, the neighborhood market. The store was operated for many years by Italian immigrants and Italian Americans, serving a local community in the area south of downtown White River Junction. The building, largely vernacular in form, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. it appears to no longer house a retail establishment.
Simons' Inn, also known more recently as Rowell's Inn, is a historic traveler's accommodation on Vermont Route 11 in Andover, Vermont. Built in 1826, it is a remarkably well-preserved example of a 19th-century stagecoach inn. It has for many years been a local community meeting point, serving as a general store and post office until 1950. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is now a private residence.
Franklin Corners is an unincorporated community located along the Passaic River at the intersection of County Route 613 and U.S. Route 202 in Bernards Township of Somerset County, New Jersey. In the 19th century, it had a grist mill, saw mill, general store, school, and several houses. The Franklin Corners Historic District, featuring Van Dorn's Mill, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
