The first-generation Kona debuted in June 2017 and the production version was revealed later that year. It is positioned between the Venue or Bayon and the Tucson in Hyundai crossover SUV line-up. The battery electric version called the Kona Electric was first launched in South Korea during the first half of 2018 and rolled out gradually worldwide afterwards.

The Ariya is the brand's first zero-emissions SUV. It was first revealed in July 2020, with the US launch of the Ariya initially planned for the second half of 2021, before being delayed to 2022.

The Chevrolet Equinox EV is a battery electric compact crossover SUV manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand since 2024. The Equinox EV features a design and underpinnings different from the ICE-powered Equinox. Equinox EV was introduced in January 2022 in a set of images at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and was originally planned to go on sale in the fall of 2023 for the 2024 model year. Chevrolet dealers actually began receiving deliveries of the 2024 Equinox EV in May 2024.

The vehicle was revealed on October 16, 2022, alongside the Mercedes-AMG performance variant. Announced in October 2022 with sales starting in March 2024, it is Honda's first major electric vehicle following a number of low volume battery electric vehicles previously sold by Honda in North America, including the Honda Clarity, Honda Fit, and the experimental Honda EV Plus. Based heavily on the Chevrolet Blazer EV, the Prologue is comparable in size with the ICE-powered Passport.

The Lotus Emeya is a battery-electric luxury super saloon manufactured by the British sports car manufacturer Lotus Cars, with production beginning sometime in 2024. Officially designated a "Hyper GT", it is a grand tourer with a five-door liftback body style. It was revealed on 7 September 2023 as the company's third electric vehicle - following the Eletre and the Evija - and second vehicle produced in China, after the aforementioned Eletre. This car is expected to compete with the Porsche Taycan.
The Avatr 11 is a fully-electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV announced in late 2021 by Avatr Technology and on sale since August 2022. Avatr is a joint venture between Changan Automobile, lithium-ion battery provider CATL, and Huawei, the Avatr 11 is underpinned by the EP1 platform. In 2018, a joint venture formed between Changan and Nio. Later, CATL replaced Nio as the second biggest shareholder when Nio withdrew during a financial crisis. Right now, Changan holds 40.99% of shares, and CATL owns 17.1%. Huawei has no shares in Avatr while supplying the hardware including electric motors and software for intelligent driving, connectivity, and infotainment.
The Kia EV5 is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by Kia since 2023. It is the third model in the manufacturer's "EV" battery electric vehicle range after the EV6 and EV9. It is also the first battery electric vehicle that will be exported by Kia from China, being produced by joint venture Yueda Kia.
